Horowitz was blocked from being able to investigate the Nat Sec division of DOJ by Sally Yates in early 2017.

That having been said, Horowitz should be fired for his subsequent incompetence.

Damnit Hog. For years she was near the top of my list of necks that need to be elongated…and she already looks like an ostrich. I'd blocked her from my thoughts for a while but yes, she was one of the earliest that made decisions that enabled this entire thread's existence.

Centralizing authority and action on the 7th floor of the Hoover Building and then down the street, Main Justice and not allowing FBI Field Offices nor individual US Attorney offices to pursue cases or decline to pursue cases within their own purviews has led to this.

Hell, Evelyn Kravalec in the London office of the State Department under Victoria Nuland interviewed Steele in August/September 2016 and told the FBI he was FOS. Nuland herself instructed her office to have nothing to do with Steele over fears of a violation of the Hatch Act.

To add insult to injury, Fiona Hill, who was connected to Danchenko testified that her opinion of the Steele Dossier was that it was Russian disinformation. She knew where it originated from the get go. And that most likely means her boss, John Bolton, knew too.
