What a load of BS. Every FBI agent I knew would be actively looking for such statements during an investigation. It's a gimme for them. Yes, it is an out of court statement but it is under oath and televised and in some points, on topic of the investigation.

CrowdStrike* never wrote a final report on the DNC and DCCC "hack". Nor did the FBI press them for one, nor investigate for themselves (breaking chain of custody, BTW) and destroying ANY case they could bring against any hackers, if found.

* CrowdStrike enabled Russia during the Maidan Revolution in Ukraine by publishing the Cozy Bear, Fancy Bear alleged "hacks" of Ukrainian artillery comms and software. They had to walk that back when the Ukrainians showed CrowdStrike was FOS. And some posters here may wonder how that assisted the Russians? Ask yourself when there is a report the enemy has infiltrated your systems. What do you do? Retract. Investigate before using those systems again. During that pause, what did Russia do? Make advances into Donbas and Crimea.

In a law class I took in the early seventies we examined a case in which a man(re: low IQ) on probation did break the law. He purchased a gun, then applied for a private investigator's license that required him to register at the local police precinct. He was immediately arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.

In court, the defense attorney's closing argument admitted he broke the law but the court system set up by our founding fathers included a jury of our peers. Part of the jury of our peers reasoning was to allow citizens the ability to prevent unjust laws and/or prosecution.

Seemed at the time to be a reasonable argument. Again I am not a lawyer, but seemed like a check by citizens to block unjust laws or unreasonable prosecutions.

Sussmann broke the law and should have been found guilty as he is a complete slime ball. His lies were used spuriously by the FBI and DOJ to perpetrate what ineffect was an attempted coup. The Democratic Party leadership has no morals, no ethics and is corrupt.

It's what happens when you go for broke with a lying to the FBI charge in a DC court right out of the gate I guess. It took 2-3 years to make this case.

I think they messed up at the start. They should have hit Clinesmith hard and then gone after the GT researchers next, then Joffe, and finally Sussman, Elias, and Fusion GPS.
