This is what really pisses the hell out of me. Remember when Jason Chaffetz's jaw dropped when Comey said he required a Congressional referral to even view Hillary's sworn testimony before Congress?

What a load of BS. Every FBI agent I knew would be actively looking for such statements during an investigation. It's a gimme for them. Yes, it is an out of court statement but it is under oath and televised and in some points, on topic of the investigation.

Unless their superiors ordered them not to, of course.

Where have any of these people been for 6 years?

CrowdStrike* never wrote a final report on the DNC and DCCC "hack". Nor did the FBI press them for one, nor investigate for themselves (breaking chain of custody, BTW) and destroying ANY case they could bring against any hackers, if found.

* CrowdStrike enabled Russia during the Maidan Revolution in Ukraine by publishing the Cozy Bear, Fancy Bear alleged "hacks" of Ukrainian artillery comms and software. They had to walk that back when the Ukrainians showed CrowdStrike was FOS. And some posters here may wonder how that assisted the Russians? Ask yourself when there is a report the enemy has infiltrated your systems. What do you do? Retract. Investigate before using those systems again. During that pause, what did Russia do? Make advances into Donbas and Crimea.

They should have charged Manos and Lorenzen last yr and get the plea bargain for testimony against Joffe and Sussman.

Is this out system of justice now? Jurors can simply ignore the law because they don't think the case was worthy of the effort? If you think they are innocent then say so. Don't subvert the entire system because your don't like the prosecution.
Seems to be a societal problem.
IANAL
In a law class I took in the early seventies we examined a case in which a man(re: low IQ) on probation did break the law. He purchased a gun, then applied for a private investigator's license that required him to register at the local police precinct. He was immediately arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.

In court, the defense attorney's closing argument admitted he broke the law but the court system set up by our founding fathers included a jury of our peers. Part of the jury of our peers reasoning was to allow citizens the ability to prevent unjust laws and/or prosecution.

Seemed at the time to be a reasonable argument. Again I am not a lawyer, but seemed like a check by citizens to block unjust laws or unreasonable prosecutions.

Sussmann broke the law and should have been found guilty as he is a complete slime ball. His lies were used spuriously by the FBI and DOJ to perpetrate what ineffect was an attempted coup. The Democratic Party leadership has no morals, no ethics and is corrupt.

something major will have to happen before there's ever even an inkling of apolitical equal justice under the laws in this country as it stands today. the institutions are too far politicized and weaponized against all who stand in their way of seizing more power.

While these events occurred more than five years ago, and a five-year statute of limitations governs false statement offenses, the D.C. Circuit has held that if a defendant engages in a scheme "to falisf[y], conceal[], or cover[]up" material facts, the limitations period does not begin to run until the scheme ends.

In this case, then, any FBI agents involved in concealing from the DOJ during the final preparation and review of the June 29, 2017, FISA application that Steele's sources were not "CROWN sources" or connected to his work in British intelligence could still face criminal liability.
Note that says the SOL does not begin to run until the scheme ends. Filings and court appearances in the Sussmann case are acts in furtherance of the concealment and cover up.

It does but any act in furtherance of the conspiracy starts the SOL running all over again. My contention since the Sussmann trial began was that all of the filings and attempted interventions by the Hillary campaign were in furtherance of the original conspiracy and thus the SOL gets extended.

And it remains my contention despite the issue being an attorney client privilege one because of the crime/fraud exception to the privilege.

Why would a crooked bureaucrat want to shut down an investigation into himself and his cronies? This is shocking news. I'm sure Garland will feel obligated to oblige though.

Revisiting the Flynn/Kislyak Leak

Quote:

How I found out the Flynn/Kislyak leak took place on January 5, 2017.
Before I get to that, some brief words on the "unmasking" report commissioned by Attorney General Bill Barr and prepared by US Attorney John Bash with a focus on the call between Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and Russian Ambassador Kislyak.

With respect to that call transcript, Flynn's name was never "masked." As Bash noted, "the FBI shared transcripts of the relevant [Flynn/Kislyak] communications with officials outside of the Bureau without masking General Flynn's name."

The FBI shared these transcripts with top-level FBI/DOJ officials and perhaps members of the Obama White House. Who could have seen the transcripts? The list includes President Obama, Vice President Biden, FBI Director James Comey, National Security Adviser Susan Rice, and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, all who were present at a meeting at the Obama White House to discuss General Flynn's calls with the Russian Ambassador.

The Washington Post explains:
Quote:

On Jan. 5, 2017, President Barack Obama received a briefing from intelligence officials in the Oval Office about the investigation into Russian efforts to influence the outcome of the 2016 election in favor of Donald Trump. When the briefing was over, he asked Vice President Joe Biden, FBI Director James B. Comey, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and national security adviser Susan E. Rice to stay behind for an additional discussion about incoming national security adviser Michael Flynn.
On that same day January 5, 2017 the Flynn/Kislyak call was leaked to Adam Entous of The Washington Post.

This leak was done by source(s) who "saw a transcript and described it to" Entous.
How do I know that?

Because Entous told me.
Rest is behind paywall...

However ZeroHedge has the whole thing...

Quote:

Speaking of FOIA requests, we are looking into Jake Sullivan's wife Margaret Goodlander. She serves as counsel to Attorney General Merrick Garland. We understand she has not recused herself from Special Counsel John Durham's investigation, despite her husband being a witness to Clinton Campaign misconduct. We have a very strong reason to believe that Goodlander is keeping a close eye on the Durham investigation - as she has hundreds, if not thousands, of e-mails discussing Durham and what he is looking into.

Interesting read ... smells like defrauding the gov (Congress) to me.

Which begs the question ... what's Durham's next move? The trial date for Danchenko is/was set for Oct 11 in Virginia. Except for Durham dropping the Conspiracy to Defraud MOAB - is there anything else expected from Durham during the next 4 months?

Thank you for posting. That whole article by Sperry deserves to be highlighted, and read by every American.

It really does outline about a third of the total fraud committed (but omits the 'about' inquiries, HRC/Sussman lies to/about the FBI and how that was all documented in his trial, plus the cover up/sham impeachment crap the left then used/faked with their propaganda press' assistance).

https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2022/06/09/fbi_chief_comey_misled_congresss_gang_of_8_over_russiagate_lisa_page_memo_reveals_836434.html

If there is any hope (of which I have long had doubt) of actual action against these actors, a conspiracy/RICO charge I think needs to be made, somewhere other than DC, in the next few weeks.

Yes, per hawg I realize the statute could arguably have been tolled by recent filings/statements of the participants, but I hold ZERO confidence that if this action is delayed yet further, it will ever actually happen. There's no reason, further, that it has to happen in the DC circuit. Events around the conspiracy were happening up and down the eastern seaboard.

Can also bring charges in the jurisdiction in which the individual resides.

If you recall, Manafort was fighting charges in two jurisdictions, DC and the Eastern District of Virginia. He also has residences in NY.

Yes. The southern district of NY would be my best guess. Durham knows all the judges/folks up that way.

Is there a (ANY) 'reasonable' reason Durham/staff have gone "crickets"??? I thought there were other forthcoming indictments???

It's what happens when you go for broke with a lying to the FBI charge in a DC court right out of the gate I guess. It took 2-3 years to make this case.
