I really think that Trump has the election in the bag. So, I don't expect any big revelations or indictments until after he wins. There is no reason to galvanize any Dem votes over what THEY will portray as abuse of power.
Some of the allegations may have exceeded SoL, and there may also be sealed indictments sitting our there that extend them...we can't know that.

HOWEVER, if all that dirt and political filth is dropped out the Public Domain and becomes part of the public record, it certainly can influence voters / citizens choices and opinions in the future.

Sometimes that may be enough...

Although I still hold out hope that someone is gonna get flayed and have their spine removed...

It is willful. They have to be willfully blind to it because the alternative for all these people is they've been backing the corrupt unethical side and their own self perception of being aligned with the presumed morally superior political party is placed in serious jeopardy if they admit to the corruption. Others of them simply rationalize the ends justifies the means and ignoring the corruption is the means.
Always good to review Scott Adams discussion on "two realities". He hit the nail on the head IMO.

RCI has a good piece today, even mentions Ciaramella when discussing Brennan's sham ICA:

Quote:

The two officials said Brennan, who openly supported Clinton during the campaign, excluded conflicting evidence about Putin's motives from the report, despite objections from some intelligence analysts who argued Putin counted on Clinton winning the election and viewed Trump as a "wild card."

The dissenting analysts found that Moscow preferred Clinton because it judged she would work with its leaders, whereas it worried Trump would be too unpredictable. As secretary of state, Clinton tried to "reset" relations with Moscow to move them to a more positive and cooperative stage, while Trump campaigned on expanding the U.S. military, which Moscow perceived as a threat.

These same analysts argued the Kremlin was generally trying to sow discord and disrupt the American democratic process during the 2016 election cycle. They also noted that Russia tried to interfere in the 2008 and 2012 races, many years before Trump threw his hat in the ring.

The claim Putin wanted Trump never made sense.

McCabe was fired in 2018. That was under Sessions and Rosenstein's watch.

But I have to giggle a little about the subject of discovery. McCabe might not know what hit him if some of what he gets comes from Durham's probe.

More derogatory info from the ONE.. the ONLY... Sidney Powell...

'Trump Was Right': Explosive New FBI Texts Detail Internal Furor Over Handling Of 'Crossfire Hurricane' Investigation

Quote:

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents tasked by fired former Director James Comey to take down Donald Trump during and after the 2016 election were so concerned about the agency's potentially illegal behavior that they purchased liability insurance to protect themselves less than two weeks before Trump was inaugurated president, previously hidden FBI text messages show. The explosive new communications and internal FBI notes were disclosed in federal court filings today from Sidney Powell, the attorney who heads Michael Flynn's legal defense team.

...

While the names of the agents responsible for the texts are redacted, the legal filing from Powell, quoting communications from the Department of Justice (DOJ), states that the latest document production included handwritten notes and texts from Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, and FBI analysts who worked on the FBI's investigation of Flynn.

...

The new disclosures made by DOJ also show that the FBI used so-called national security letters (NSLs) to spy on Flynn's finances. Unlike traditional subpoenas, which require judicial review and approval before authorities can seize an innocent person's property and information, NSLs are never independently reviewed by courts. One of the agents noted in a text message that the NSLs were just being used as a pretext by FBI leadership to buy time to find dirt on Flynn after the first investigation of him yielded no derogatory information.
Damn... This is pretty horrible for Comey and team.

Meh. Discovery goes both ways. Andy McCabe is the plaintiff. He has to prove his case that he was as pure as the wind driven snow. That's a hard freaking sell for anyone on a first name basis with Strzok and Page.

Way back when there was Errors and Omission coverage for Board members and the like, willful misconduct could actually be covered unless it was criminal in nature.

But what was going on here was not just "misconduct" it is was criminal conduct. So doubt criminal conduct would ever be covered.

Been a hell of week so far. Can't wait for tomorrow as Friday is often indictment day.

Wray had to have a hand in hiding these documents in the latest Flynn revelations. What else is he still hiding? It's no longer a question whether or not he should be fired ASAP...it's whether or not he should be indicted along with the plotters.

Think about the timing here. Sidney gets a late Wednesday night tranche of docs from presumably Jensen. She has permission to file the supplemental today. Reading between the lines, grand jury has handed down their decisions and that material is no longer deemed secret grand jury material in an open investigation. Tells me an indictment has been handed down and will be announced shortly.

Makes total sense. I was just commenting the cherry on the top will be when Trump announces on Saturday his SCOTUS nominee. I wonder if the libs will spontaneously combust after reeling from the indictments (hopefully) announced on Friday and ACB nomination on Saturday.

Agree about Wray. He knowingly lied way back at the time of the Nunes memo release to try to cover up the crimes the FBI committed, claiming "sources and methods" would be compromised. That allowed scumbag liar schiff to claim the same thing about sources and methods at the same time he was claiming he had hard evidence of Trump-Russian collusion.

Wray has known what has been happening all along and, at the least, allowed the FBI to stonewall the truth getting out while innocent people have been prosecuted.

That was the delicate balance that faced Barr because of the intransigence of Sullivan. I'm sure he really thought the MTD from DOJ would be sufficient to get Flynn some justice and drop the travesty. And then the process to obtain indictments didn't require compromising any grand jury proceedings. Makes sense.

But then Sullivan went completely rogue and now the choice becomes how much can they release without jeopardizing the (delayed because of corona) grand jury proceedings to correct a wrong done to Flynn?

When DOJ lawyer from Solicitor General's office told the DC Circuit that their MTD contained "some but not all" of the reasons they filed the MTD, that was foreshadowing.

Sooo, as is my wont, I connect the dots, thusly.

The information that was released to Sidney last night has most of the names redacted on the sender and receiver. Yet Strzok and Page are identified to a certain extent. but there are several more agents involved.

Point being, they won't name the witnesses. They redact their names. Process of elimination.
