Today begins Assange's extradition hearing. If you are interested, the chap above from NBC news is in the courtroom & is providing a blow-by-blow detailed account of what is happening via Twitter, including copies of relevant court documents. There is a large protest movement ongoing adjacent to the courtroom which is disrupting activities due to the volume of the chanting.

Here's a current threadreader. if you go to the end & click 'refresh', it will go current as he is linking tweets (so far):

Interesting tidbit. The infamous Case Agent 1, aka Stephen Somma, conducted all 5 of Carter Page's interview with the FBI.

Sending up the Hawg signal because it's about the claim Papa hindered their ability to question Mifsud. Seems the claim wasn't just BS (as Hawg asserted), but was also an outright lie.

Since it was a guilty plea he was charged by information. That was bad enough but it was the sentencing recommendation that was unadulterated horses***.

I'm glad Graham is doing this, but I honestly wonder who he is from day to day.

Once he finally got pissed in the SC hearings, he did great. Wasn't he a JAG? And Hawg, don't most trial attorneys/judges have a good read on human behavior after years of service in the industry?

I'm asking because it doesn't seem as if Graham is very aggressive, even assertive. I don''t necessarily want him to fight fire with fire, but damn, it would be nice if he'd at least push the law a little bit.

Okay, rant over temporarily.
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

Techno_Fog thinks there is good reason to believe that the DOJ/Sally Yates was behind the leak of General Flynn's phone calls with Kislyak to the Washington Post in early January 2017. He thinks James Baker of ONA should be specifically queried about acting as the intermediary for the DOJ.

Quote:

House Republicans have found evidence that Russia Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team may have misled the courts and Congress and are considering making criminal referrals asking the Justice Department to investigate those prosecutors, a key lawmaker says.

Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told Just the News that his team has been scouring recent documents released by the FBI, including witness reports known as 302s, and found glaring evidence that contradicts claims the Mueller team made to courts and Congress.

"We're now going through these 302s, and we're going to be making criminal referrals on the Mueller dossier team, the people that put this Mueller report together," Nunes said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast set to air on Tuesday....

Maybe this is why Mueller seemed (acted) as though he knew nothing about his own investigation when being interviewed under oath?

Depends on who is being referred, I think. There was an exculpatory footnote in the Mueller Report about members of Team Mueller still being under the direction of FBI/DOJ while serving on his Team. Nice little sleight of hand there, as in reality, Rosenstein allowed them to proceed in whichever manner and/or matter their little (black) hearts desired.

I was really hopeful that you would respond to this, as I have no legal background. I do have some background in INTEL and Mueller looked like he purposely didn't know what was going on because, he didn't want to know the details. Glad to get your legal expertise on this topic

As time has gone by and we learn more, I'm beginning to think Mueller ended up being trapped by a fever dream of people he trusted, in particular his bestie, Comey. IOW he was sold a bill of goods to induce him to accept the position of Special Counsel.

However, fairly early on he likely discovered there really wasn't much there, there on the Trump/Russia collusion delusion from a legal standpoint but he was persuaded that Trump was so "erratic" that he continued to be a threat and could easily be baited into doing something that did have legal consequences (obstruction) if pressure was applied to others within his orbit.

Although Mueller approved of the strategy, he likely withdrew from day-to-day hands-on work, deferring instead to Weissmann and Zelinsky. He didn't want to get his hands too dirty. He was a coward.
