I swear Mueller is trying to get blood out of a turnip with Manafort. He's been going after him for a year and half. If Manafort had anything, Mueller would have known it by now. But he just keeps threatening Manafort with more and more jail time, forfeiture and likely Manafort's family as well.

Judge Ellis cannot be happy about continuously delaying Manafort's sentencing.

Money and jailtime are threats that motivate to an extent but the intimidation tactics of an armed raid of his house at night with weapons pointed at him and his wife while she is clothed only in a nightgown may have hardened him to a point that he won't crack and compose false narratives no matter how much jail time he faces.

At which point does it become prosecutorial misconduct? Mueller is trying to elicit perjured testimony by this point. Much like an immunity deal, there is a Queen for a Day wherein Manafort's lawyers provide of proffer of what Manafort will provide in exchange for a reduced sentence. The negotiations started two months ago. But now Mueller is threatening to pull out of the deal because Manafort hasn't given him exactly what he wants yet?

If Manafort just doesn't have the personal knowledge or evidence, he doesn't have it. Period.

With all the corruption and election stealing and blatant 100% partisanship of most of the MSM, all this may not matter any more. Maybe Trump should just shut it down, close the border to Democrat schemes to pad their voting block with illegals, etc. Run literally on Left vs Right in the election of 2020---do you want one or the other more, and make not pretense of thinking there is anything to work with regarding the Left other than just outvoting them.

Just see how that plays out. The Democrats+MSM is not going to treat him fairlly, and serves only the Left and international concerns in opposition to the Center and Right.

Why I specified "legal" historians. Regular historians are largely quite disingenuous and dishonest these days. But from a legal standpoint, Mueller has crossed way too many lines in the ethics department.

The impatience of the hand wringing pot bangers are hilarious. The largest round up and sting of government corruption n the history of the nation, isn't successful if it's not air tight and timed just right. A false sense of security for the big fish watching the little fish flutter away with mere hand slaps or minor criminal referrals being not pursued immediately. reading those responses to Sundance's tweets are comedy central.

Your optimism that it is all going to come together coherently evokes the memory of the boundless faith of the Ron Paul disciples in 2008...and again 2012. Trump's staff has not used any of the ammo at their disposal and they are suffering daily damage by not having declassified the evidence of corruption and conspiracy let alone indicted anyone.

I am trying to understand why the Meuller investigation sham persists in the face of overwhelming cause to shut it down and prosecute the key players for misconduct. You and others post a lot of interesting data and analysis that suggests that the Trump administration could not only end the Mueller investigation but put many of the conspirators behind bars. Yet, no one has been held accountable for the range of misdeeds from simple unprofessional conduct to felony conspiracy to undermine the election system.

Any explanation that ultimately rests on the argument that "Trump is taking the high road and will not use the tactics that the conspirators used against him" is not credible to me. If Trump had a legal team and leadership at DOJ that would allow him to execute night time search warrants at the homes of Brennan, the Podesta brothers, DWS, and many others he would. If Trump had competent leadership in key positions at DOJ the officials who have refused to produce evidence subpoenaed by Congress would be relieved and jailed immediately for thumbing their nose at the legislative branch. The only people who get the Manafort & Flynn treatment are Manafort and Flynn because the Trump appointees are not doing their job.

The Trump team does not have the will to use the mountains of evidence that are piling up. I don't understand why and the explanations of timing don't make sense to me. If there is a strategy (means and actions connected to achieve objectives) to defeat the conspiracy I can't see it. The fight against the corruption of the Democrats and their completely partisan independent counsel is not a game of maneuver but rather of attrition.

I see many parallels in the Russia hoax conspiracy with the Civil War and Lincoln's struggle to find a winning General to put down the rebellion. Lincoln made George McClellan the commander of his Army and McClelan was tentative and ineffective in leading the larger and better equipped Union forces to defeat the wily maneuvering of the Confederates led by Lee. Time and again McClellan failed to use his forces to achieve a decision and was more fearful of defeat than he was determined to achieve victory. When victory was within his grasp he bedded down to rest his forces instead of pressing the advantage.

Jeff Sessions has played the part of McClellan so perfectly in this allegory that I would not be surprised if he now declared his intention to challenge Trump and run for President in 2020 like McClellan did against Lincoln. If Trump has now found his Grant in Whitaker then I would expect to see Whitaker employ Grant's strategy, i.e. "Your objective shall be Lee's Army. Wherever Lee goes there you will go also." Like Lee, Mueller has run circles around the Trump administration DoJ because the most senior and politically savvy members of the DoJ apparently seceded and have been fighting for the confederacy. The press is happily playing the part of the Copperhead Democrats urging the President to sue for peace and apologize. If there is anyone playing the part of Sherman in this analogy it would be the DA from the Southern District of NY who is going scorched earth on those that Mueller's team has targeted through the FISA court surveillance.

The Russia hoax Civil War melodrama now appears to be at the point in the Civil War where the Army of Northern Virginia invades Maryland and a copy of their campaign plans (wrapped around a bundle of cigars) have been dropped on the side of the road and recovered by the union. The union leadership is still debating whether the plans are real or an intentional deception and instead of proceeding at full speed to block the invasion at Antietem creek. They are dragging their feet and piecemealing their forces in slowly and heading for yet another bloody but indecisive engagement.

Agreed, I'd also like to see Trump pardon Manafort immediately after Mueller releases his report. I'd call it the Podesta pardon, since Mueller isn't going after those pedophiles for doing the same thing he's getting Manafort for doing. Then watch the left explode.

Anyone seen this email chain yet. It was leaked back during the 2016 Election in the middle of the october surprises that were happening, with COmey and the Hillary emails mess. I thought back then it was garbage that was put out by The Hillary camp or the DNC to try and take the spotlight on them, but it never even made a blip on the radar. I downloaded it from the source in case it later disappeared from the web, but was searching for documents and saw that it was still hosted on ScribD so I thought I'd post it for some feedback. It's a little bizarre.

Read the full email chain.

It was a bizarre back and forth in that email chain. There was a lot of open ended innuendo in it that would lead you to believe there was something very sinister going on if you were in any way akin to Alex Jones in the conspiracy theory tree.

But it did sound like a backup plan at the least. Remember the NBC tapes had leaked and the GOP was in a panic that Trump would have to fold. Some of stuff makes me wonder about Pence. But remember Ryan walked completely away from Trump after the tapes. It all seems possibly legit, they just couldn't do anything because Trump would never quit.

Just thought it was interesting and really had forgotten about it.

Which may be the greatest thing Trump has done for the GOP is show them that fighting is the answer. Take them on and throw it right back at them. 99% of everything blows over very quickly and even for the worst things give it 5-6 days and something will replace it in the news cycle. So either fight it or ignore it.

And McConnell, Graham and even Cruz and some others seem to have gotten that now - it showed with Kavanaugh. No previous Republican WH or Judiciary Committee would have ever stood behind someone like that after the allegations true or not.

Sundance, I think you are saying that Sessions recused himself from the Russian-collusion probe and responsibility for pursuing all attendant information that resulted from the leak investigation to give the Trump administration cover for exposing Rosenstein's involvement in the underlying conspiracy. For this ploy to be effective, Trump needed an independent surrogate for Sessions in the leaks investigation; that surrogate was Matthew Whitaker.

Following this thinking to its logical conclusion, the fact that Trump has dismissed Sessions and replaced him with Whitaker implies that Session has served his purpose, and the extent of the conspiracy against Trump has been documented sufficiently that the DOJ can begin prosecuting the malefactors involved specifically Rosenstein. Whitaker will be the point man for this prosecution

A month later, on a Saturday, July 21st, 2018, the redacted FISA Title-1 application used against U.S. person Carter Page is released. At the time of its release, no-one was looking for it and no-one was requesting the release.

Sundance is incorrect about this though. Judicial Watch put in a FOIA request for the FISA docs in July 2017

Judicial Watch had a FOIA lawsuit on the Page FISA, that's where it was released three days before the judge was going to rule, and they avoided there being a court order on record for future precedent. JW filed that suit months back in Feb 2018.
