You know. In some other countries people that leak info and undermine the President and his administration would normally get taken out and shot.

Surely to gosh all this is released a few weeks prior to midterms. All this waiting is starting to make a skeptic of me.

People need to get a grip on a couple of things. Trump is smoking out and trying to kill the network that went against him. The Clintons are done in politics. She may find a speaking engagement that will pay her a little, but her fees are 10% of what they once were and getting to be fewer and fewer.

Trump is after the network, the swamp, the support base that gave her and Obama power. Neither Obama or Clinton will ever see a courtroom much less jail. "Lock Her Up" was a campaigning slogan, not a realistic goal. It served Trump well, and still is. But the cronies that actually did the deed are on a list and he is trying to snare them all, and that isn't an easy task. Fighting the headwinds of the entire machine, There is a method to this madness.

Like Dixie, not buying that Rosenstein is under GJ investigation, no way to contain that with him in place, and it makes no sense. If he were that suspect to ward a GJ, he would have been fired and still under investigation. In my gut, I think Rosenstein has been given the opportunity to save his ability to practice law after he resigns when the Mueller probe is over. Rosenstein knows he screwed up signing that last FISA application, they had him convinced they would get Trump, either by legal means or forcing him to resign and he would be safe. A lot of people have underestimated the testicular fortitude of DJT. I am amazed he doesn't have to carry his balls in a wheelbarrow.

Comey is going to jail short term, maybe even probated and lose his license to practice law. Brennan IMHO has a date with a hangman's noose of his own making. Suicide is honorable to the muzzie's. His jihad has been snuffed out, and he has a destiny with either a jail cell or death. Clapper may not be prosecuted, because he was playing within the crooked rules he set up, but he's ruined professionally in the intelligence world and after the mueller thing is over, he's worthless to CNN or MSNBC. Strzok will go down for lying short term and have to find some other way to make a living. Lisa Page is going to save herself by rolling over on her co-conspirators, because they have her lying to investigators and congress.

The big disappointment to most, because of all the hype, is that Powers, Rice, Yates, and Lynch are all going to skate. Did they do all sorts of unethical things, certainly they did. Just not certain they broke the law, unless they get them for lying to investigators. Problem is, they never really give any real answers, just vague replies or the go to, "I have no recollection". I think Lynch and Yates should lose their shingles over it, but just doubt that happens. We will just have to settle for getting them out of the system permanently.

Trump can't lock them all up, but he can expose them and make them so radioactive, they are done professionally, and that is a win. that is draining the swamp.

Here is the thread covering Vogel's comments on the content of that NYT article...interesting. It's also interesting that the NYT would even publish such an account. The fact that Greg Craig, Obama's former WH counsel, has hired a top criminal defense lawyer is big news IMO.

Once Van der Zwaan went down over the Tymoshenko stuff it was only a matter of time before Greg Craig was collared. He quit Skadden, Arps months ago.

You MAY be right...but your final assessment is totally unsatisfactory IMHO. If these people can skirt the Rule of Law and make a mockery of our Justice System, then why even pretend it is fair. It certainly isn't just and in the end...corruption rules and $ is ALL that matters. Screw that!

I have a common sense question : Since Muller and his Sleazy Band have had a dragnet out, to get Trump and his associates, with unlimited Deep State intelligence and investigative resources, for 1 1/2 years, how is it possible that he has not discovered numerous criminal acts committed by Democrats ? And if not, why not ?

They do not want to, simple as that.

The only thing that will get this over with is the declassification of the FISA warrants and firing Sessions and Rosenstein. If the R's hold the house and gain seats in the Senate - they will be fired shortly thereafter. And rightfully so.

If all that happens after the past 8 years of corruption, graft, Clinton Foundation, Benghazi, Iran Deal, Uranium One, FISA lies, etc. is is that some mid-level flunkies lose their jobs and law licenses, we are officially a banana republic. The civil war should start henceforth, as there is no semblance of Justice available in our country any longer.

Sad (p***ed off) response...but I've come to the conclusion that NO ONE in Washington cares. They are either, spineless or an integral part of the problem. Taken a long time, but I no longer trust elected officials. They don't know the meaning of truth or honesty.

Edit 1 - add most "government officials/bureaucrats" to those I no longer trust.
Edit 2 - US Govt. has been infiltrated by persons/groups that have one purpose...implement their "exclusive agenda" which has nothing to do with benefiting the US as a whole, i.e., meaning anyone who opposes them.

There are a couple of passions I used to enjoy, that have now become jaded, to say the least. It was always a pleasure to follow politics, especially as it would help America, and Texas, since I so fervently believe in our genuine experiment. Like you, I trust NO ONE in the FBI, CIA, DOJ, or State.

The second passion is/was professional football. In fairness, I've enjoyed sports all my life, having played and watched. But it's taken 2-3 years of the NFL to finally turn me off, which is hard to do.

So, my ultimate anger and disgust is that I have to trust ONE man to try to stop an inexorable slide to a normal big goverrnment country, which is always corruption. The odds of that happening aren't good, and the Republican's, except for the Freedom Caucus, don't give a ***** Secondly, I've always enjoyed professional football---mostly. Now, I actually want everyone associated with the game to fail. Ridiculous I know, and stupid, but it was one of my pleasures on Sunday.

My 2 cents!
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

Good read.
Two key parts

Sure don't hear the dems screaming for these transcripts to be released

Quote:

"It's a reflection of us still not knowing," Page told Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) when questioned about texts she and Strzok exchanged in May 2017 as Robert Mueller was being named a special prosecutor to take over the Russia investigation.

With that statement, Page acknowledged a momentous fact: After nine months of using some of the most awesome surveillance powers afforded to U.S. intelligence, the FBI still had not made a case connecting Trump or his campaign to Russia's election meddling.

Page opined further, acknowledging "it still existed in the scope of possibility that there would be literally nothing" to connect Trump and Russia, no matter what Mueller or the FBI did.

"As far as May of 2017, we still couldn't answer the question," she said at another point.

Quote:

And Strzok, the counterintelligence boss and leader of the Russia probe, texted Page in May 2017 that he was reluctant to join Mueller's probe and leave his senior FBI post because he feared "there's no big there, there."

The Department of Justice (DOJ) inspector general asked Strzok shortly before he was fired from the FBI what he meant by that text, and he offered a most insightful answer.

Strzok said he wasn't certain there was a "broad, coordinated effort" to hijack the election and that the evidence of Trump campaign aides talking about getting Hillary Clinton dirt from Russians might have been just a "bunch of opportunists" talking to heighten their importance.

Strzok added that, while he raised the idea of impeachment in some of his texts to Page, "I am, again, was not, am not convinced or certain that it will," he told the IG.

Ratcliffe is on with Maria Bartiromo right now, and is basically confirming the Hill article as well as saying that everyone they interviewed behind closed doors, Powers, Yates, Rice all said they had no evidence of collusion

"Over 70 witness testified and they all batted 1000 all were asked the same question and they all said the same thing, there was no evidence of any collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign."

Ratcliffe wants all the transcripts released from the Judiciary hearings as well and has formally requested Goodlatte to do so.

Evidently Catherine Herridge has the transcript from the Page Senate interview.

Nunes is going to release all the transcripts from the House investigations.

Republicans just have to show up in numbers and vote. Those voting left are going to vote left regardless. It's all about voter turnout.

This is new information.

Nunes: We believe that the depositions that we took, nearly about 70 people, those need to be published.
3) Nunes wants to make all of these depositions public.

Nunes: They need to be published I think before the election. By published I mean put out for the American people to review so they can see all the people that were interviewed by us and their answers to those questions.
4) Approximately 70% of these interviews are already declassified....

This entire thing has been about legally embattling and encumbering trump and giving the media and other progressive allies plenty of propaganda material to work with in order to constrain and limit Trump and hopefully run out the clock to 2018 and create just enough doubt to take the house and/or senate. Anything more would have been a bonus for them.

Oh, and this thread has it all wrong about Steele: He is unimpeachable above James Bond level. Pissing on hookers, yah, they went there, and they know there are Trumps sexual proclivity videos that exist.
