Quote:

FBI surveillance of former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page cost him business, income and even his girlfriend.

Page tells The Post that during the media barrage he faced in late 2016, he visited his girlfriend at her London flat, where she was "freaking out with the fake news about me."

"Talking with her later in the evening after dinner, she told me that she didn't want me staying there anymore, and that our relationship was over.

"So late that night," Page continued, "I booked a last-minute hotel reservation as part of this early chapter of the redefinition of my life."

Page believes the FBI's mole, professor Stefan Halper, was secretly spying on him as part of a "politically motivated" investigation of Team Trump, using fake sympathy to gain his trust all while fishing for dirt on Page's ties to Russia, where he'd worked as an energy consultant.

"I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a trap," Page said....

Even lost his girlfriend...

Maybe the most irritating point of this whole thing is that Hillary's emails are coming to the center of it again because she wasn't properly securing her data. From these articles it appears Hillary's server was compromised, her data got into the hands of the Russians, and the Russians started peddling it. Then word gets out to members of the campaign like Pop and Page that there's info out there, all because Hillary didn't secure her data.

Now team Trump is being investigated because unsecured data from the opposing campaign got in the hands of bad actors who tried to use it to their advantage. Forget the fact this is all due to Hillary breaking the law, Trump is colluding because Russians MAY have tried to offer them something because they got their hands on these emails. Hillary gets off scott free for breaking the law yet trump is being investigated for over a year for a potential issue that could have come about only because she broke the law. Give me a break.

THIS IS WHY YOU SECURE DATA, not just because the data is sensitive but also because it can be used for bribery and blackmail by enemies that get their hands on it and compromise not just the irresponsible owner but a far larger scope of US security.

Eh honestly, I think she was doing this to get around FOIA. Between the Anthony wiener debacle where the server was found out about and then Seth Rich leaking the data, she needed a plan to cover her ace.

Why not say your opponent was using your compromised data to win the election? Don't look at my crime, look at the "worse" crime being done by my opponent.

Going back to the article on Downer by Chuck Ross -- this is a pertinent question.

Quote:

...Downer, the former high commissioner to the U.K., said he asked another Australian diplomat to contact the Trump aide, George Papadopoulos, for the meeting, which occurred around May 10, 2016, at London's Kensington Wine Room....

IMO, 'another Australian diplomat' is code for: someone else connected with Hakluyt. The latter outfit is not a local London intel company, it has a few offices scattered around the world, including...just a coincidence...Sydney, Australia.

Both sides using cutouts stake out Trump campaign, all contractors for plausible deniability, get caught their on their own. Using Halper as a handler and inserting Downer and Mifsud and whoever this third is. Mifsud has enough attachments to Russia to give the narrative flavor, Steele is just a conduit to give the Dossier written by Blumenthal and Shearer a point of entry into the equation to force the FISA. A lot of moving parts on this thing

I thought the story was a chance meeting in which Papadopoulos was drunk and running his mouth. Why the hell would Downer want to meet him? How and why would Downer have any knowledge of Papa?

Do you want to know what Democrats are really doing? Listen to what they accuse the Republicans of doing (Russian collusion comes to mind). Standard practice since Clinton.

There is a common thread involving the meetings Papadopoulos had with the schemers -- a woman. This can't be a coincidence, it being a common 'spy' mechanism -- think General David Petraeus. Hook a man up with a woman, in this case a young unmarried man, & compromise him:

Mifsud -- had a young woman with him which he falsely claimed was Putin's niece, Olga Polonskaya/Polonskaia. Here is a screenshot of her Facebook page before it was deleted after her name was outed:

Downer -- introduced to Papadoupolous by Downer's counselor at the Aussie High Commissioner's Office, Erika Thompson, who accompanied the 2 men for drinks at the wine room. I couldn't find out any info about her via the High Commissioner's website & Facebook page.

Halper -- had a Turkish assistant, Azra Turk, who was drinking & flirting with Papadopoulos, and later tried to meet him in Chicago where Papadopoulos lived. It's a common name, & the one news article said she had deleted her phone service after her name was outed.

HBO's The Fourth Estate about the New York Times is going badly. They have no problem admitting they are making crap up. It's a documentary, so this was in real time.

ETA: Crap. Showtime, not HBO. Thanks for the correction, Roscoe.

Wise observation ... every young man's Achilles heal. No question he was set up by CIA proxies and all of this will ultimately lead back to Brennan.

So I'm curious, does the NYT think the Showtime documentary is a good look for them?

You're right they don't hide the fact that they slant everything and actually fabricate stuff to start a narrative.

Honest answer? No. They know they are lap dogs. The editorials are so bent to be laughable and the reporting is weighted.

Not a good look. Bias and hatred are evident.

BUT when they agreed to this documentary, they believed with all of their hearts (brains never enter into the equation) that they would be recreating and besting WaPo's Bernstein and Woodward in getting the impeachment smoking gun.

Their goals are evident in the way they shaded their reporting, which is now on tape and you know they edited the worst parts out.

Why couldn't they just be in the news business?

I can't remember which page it was, but so much of Barsoomian was disected someplace.

If I remember correctly, Barsoomian WORKS for Craig, or rather is his #2. Basically, she likely has the keys to the kingdom, and always has. What information do you think Mr. Rosey has? His wife may be all professional and ethical, but somewhere along the lines, Rosey probably got information he's not privy to.

Just had a thought: if we can convince Mueller and Weissman there's a renegade Republican being represented by those two, he can call in the Marines and break down the doors to get the information.

Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
This is backed by data.

Quote:

Media Double Down After New York Times Gets Busted Peddling Fake News

There may have been a real White House briefing with real White House officials, but The New York Times couldn't be trusted to accurately summarize what the White House official said. And it wasn't on a minor point.

...he should have condemned The New York Times for fake news attributed to a real source instead of fake news attributed to a fake source.

A media that desires to hold this president accountable simply must be accurate in its newswriting. It failed dramatically here, and failed to hold itself accountable when caught. This is why the media's credibility is in tatters and why President Trump and others find it so easy to hold them up for ridicule.

A fun read...taking the NYT to the woodshed.

I wonder if the corrupt FBI/DOJ folks realize they may spend the next 5-10-20 years in prison. Probably goes for some Clintonistas, Obamaistas, Brennanistas, and Clapperistas.

I hope you're right but I do not share your confidence in the justice system when applied to the political class. They are outside the rule of law. I will never trust any of them again.
