Manafort and Gates were just money hoors. Just like James Carville and Bob Shrum. They'll work for anybody for any reason. None of them are truly agenda driven other than how to line their own pockets.

Let 'em all burn, is my assessment.

Depends on when they were altered, most likely. Altered before they were filed? Not likely. Altered after they were filed, there would be a digital record of changes to the files.

It seems like a person being interviewed by the FBI would his/her attorney there and also record it.

They way it was described it was an ambush. FBI had been cleared at the gate in advance because they were doing security orientation all week, and Strzok and Agent #2 just popped into Flynn's office. Flynn stated back in April he thought they were there in the training capacity and didn't realize he was being interrogated until it was over. Strzok knew exactly what he was doing and McCabe had a serious bone to pick with Flynn and wanted some payback. Robyn Gritz said she talked to Flynn and that what he told her too.

Speaking of Gritz, Google has censored Jason Goodman's live streaming video-cast starting last week. Every week Goodman had Thomas Paine Robyn Gritz and usually two other guests and they would breakdown what was going on, Google/YouTube shut him down. Very Strange

Back on Page 172 I posted the link below, dealing with a new name, Dan Jones. He appeared in the Senator Warner text messages with the Russian lobbyist Waldman concerning Steele (& Assange & Deripaska). Jones, a former staffer of Senator Feinstein, was apparently going to serve as a go between Warner & Steele to convince Warner to write a letter before a meeting with Steele.

http://dailycaller.com/2018/02/12/dossier-investigation-links/

Now more info on Jones has appeared:

http://thefederalist.com/2018/02/20/is-a-former-feinstein-staffer-running-fusion-gpss-post-election-russia-dossier-operation/

It's a long & complicated article, but there has been some nefarious activity going on in the background involving 2 Dems on the Senate Intel Committee, Warner & Feinstein. To start off with, remember the unusual event when Feinstein released the transcripts of Simpson's (Fusion GPS) testimony before the Committee without notifying Grassley, initially saying she was pressured to release them? And then, remember Grassley & Graham making a criminal referral to DOJ on Steele without the knowledge of Feinstein? And if you have been following The Conservative Treehouse postings, he has repeatedly stated that the Senate Intel Committee was compromised.

Well, apparently Jones has some type of undisclosed relationship with Fusion GPS and may have been working to verify parts of the dossier. He is suspect for influencing Feinstein to release the Simpson transcripts. It raises the issue of 2 Dem senators working/communicating in the background with Steele over the dossier and possibility in collusion with the DNC sponsored activities of Fusion GPS. It's looking very sticky IMO. Grassley is onto it and is investigating Jones as well as all employees of Fusion GPS, and you know from yesterday that Grassley is investigating the relationship between Steele & Deripaska. There has been some real collusion going on, & it's all falling back on the Dems.

House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes has sent a series of questions about the Trump dossier to a number of current and former government officials. The committee did not specify to whom Nunes sent the questions, but a spokesman said the letter has gone to 11 recipients.

The questions concern when the recipients first became aware of "the information contained in the Steele dossier," referring to the compilation of anti-Trump allegations compiled during the 2016 campaign by former British spy Christopher Steele. The letter asks who the recipients may have shared dossier information with. They ask when the recipient first learned that the dossier was financed by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. They ask when President Obama was made aware of the information in the dossier. And more.

The letter asks for answers by March 2. "If you do not provide timely answers on a voluntary basis, the committee will initiate compulsory process," the letter says, in a clear threat to subpoena any uncooperative recipients.

Here is the list of questions:

1. When and how did you first become aware of any of the information contained in the Steele dossier?

2. In what form(s) was the information in the Steele dossier presented to you? By whom? (Please describe each instance)

3. Who did you share this information with? When? In what form? (Please describe each instance)

4. What officials actions did you take as a result of receiving the information contained in the Steele dossier?

5. Did you convene any meetings with the intelligence community and/or law enforcement communities as a result of the information contained in the Steele dossier?

6. When did you first learn or come to believe that the Steele dossier was funded by a Democrat-aligned entity?

7. When did you first learn or come to believe that the Steele dossier was funded by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and/or Hillary for America (Clinton campaign)?

8. When did you first become aware that the Steele dossier was used to obtain a FISA order on Carter Page?

9. Was President Obama briefed on any information contained in the dossier prior to January 5, 2017?

10. Did you discuss the information contained in the Steele dossier with any reporters or other representatives of the media? If so, who and when?

I saw elsewhere that the 11 individuals were 'senior' officials in the Obama Administration.
Let's play 'Guess Who'. My list includes:

John Brennan
James Clapper
Samantha Power
Susan Rice
James Comey
Andrew McCabe
Loretta Lynch
Sally Yates
Bruce Ohr
James Baker
John Kerry

I think the trap here is 'current and former' officials. The 'former' officials don't know if any of the 'current' officials have been taking singing lessons.

Ukraine's ousted President Viktor Yanukovych who fled to Russia in February 2014 following months of anti-government protests intends to return to his former position as leader of Ukraine, Yanukovych's lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk said, the TASS news agency reported Tuesday.

"He intends to return to Ukraine. Yanukovych has never resigned from his post, and [the manner of] his dismissal was a gross violation of the Ukrainian Constitution," Serdyuk said in an interview....

This ought to interest Paul Manafort -- perhaps his former employer would like to hire him again, and surely Manafort could use some extra coins to help defray his legal expenses.

First of all, I like your thinking! Waterboarding would be awesome for all eleven---just for fun!

Secondly, what would keep everyone on that list from having a "get together" to discuss their proper answers. I understand one or two might be on board, so to speak, but all of these folks are true believers. As such, and like most Dems, won't they be taking one for the team, like everyone except the Clintons or Obamas?

A source close to the investigation is not ruling out the possibility that more officials could be questioned as the next phase of the probe continues.

Perhaps anticipating this phase of the investigation, an Obama State Department official earlier this month acknowledged he had regular contact with the dossier's author.

In a Washington Post column, Jonathan Winer detailed an extensive exchange of documents with Steele, a friend of his since 2009. He said he shared "more than 100 of Steele's reports with the Russia experts at the State Department" over a period of two years. These weren't related to American politics but he would later share information about the Trump dossier with the top levels of the Obama State Department.

Further, Winer said he shared separate Trump-related material passed on by a Clinton contact with Steele. And he acknowledged that material, originally from Clinton-tied activist/journalist Cody Shearer, made its way to the FBI.
In publishing his Op-Ed, Winer wrote that he suspects Nunes wants to know about his own relationship with Steele while at the Obama State Department.

this. If Muller has anything good, he would have kept the Russian indictments and the process stuff sealed.

He's in "we have to come up with something mode." This is Muller's version of making sure the media/whoever at least get their bennigans coupons and bubble gum.

I am not an attorney so Aggiehawg or one of the other attorneys would be able to answer this better than me. I have always heard that during trial a good attorney will almost never ask a question they do not know the answer to.

In this situation I think they know some of the answers and are trying to extract more information than they already have. Two, three or four people are one small subset but he is asking the same questions of eleven different people. It is very difficult to get the same answers from eleven different people. There will be cracks and gaps.

Hopefully, Nunes is sitting in information already submitted from these 11 that is known to be contradictory to the truth. If all 11 get together to put forth an accurate reporting to the questions, then the group will contradict one or more of the individuals. If one or more of the individuals gives an answer consistent with their prior lie, then they contradict the rest of the group. Hmmmm....

This isn't a trial. This is akin to a discovery request, interrogatories, to be precise. His focus on communications suggests to me that he has access to the emails and text messages between more than a few of the people these are sent to, courtesy of IG Horowitz.

For those that are out of their jobs, without access to their government issued phones and devices, to refresh their memories, mistakes will be made.

As a practical matter, a good trial lawyer has prepped their own witnesses enough that they know what to expect during a direct examination. But money and time constraints doesn't always mean every opposing witness is deposed prior to trial. So during cross examination you don't always know what the answer will be. You have a good guess but you get curve balls.
