Certainly confirms my deeper suspicion that Fusion GPS is basically a money laundering and information brokerage type of operation that coordinated the HRC campaign with players in the media happy to get paid for supporting democrats they already wanted to win.

Will be interesting to see if the flow of information was corrupt actors at 3-letter government agencies -> Clinton supporters -> Clinton campaign -> Fusion GPS for packaging and release to public or some other path.

Either way, watching this unravel is pretty amazing. IG report can't get here soon enough.

Now you know where the 12 million dollars Clinton paid Fusion GPS, to buy cutouts and foreign operators isn't cheap. Loretta Lynch approved the Visa and then allowed her to stay past the 72 hr emergency reprieve. The Martha Stewart Inn at Alderson will be booked up solid.

Sen. Feinstein has just released the 300+ page transcript of the Judiciary Committee's interview of Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson, apparently without consulting chair Grassley. House Intel Committee has also not seen this.
Woah. That changes the dynamic a bit...

Here is the release from her site:

Quote:

Feinstein: American People Deserve Opportunity to Read Glenn Simpson, Fusion GPS Transcript
Jan 09 2018

WashingtonSenate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the transcript of Glenn Simpson's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee with the support of committee Democrats. Simpson is the co-founder of Fusion GPS.

"After speaking with majority and minority committee staff for 10 hours, Glenn Simpson requested the transcript of his interview be released publicly. The American people deserve the opportunity to see what he said and judge for themselves," said Senator Feinstein. "The innuendo and misinformation circulating about the transcript are part of a deeply troubling effort to undermine the investigation into potential collusion and obstruction of justice. The only way to set the record straight is to make the transcript public."

The transcript is available here and corrections made after the transcript was finalized are available here.

Interesting move by Feinstein. Wasn't she the almost lone voice of reason among Democrats a few months ago by publicly stating there had been no evidence uncovered that would point to collusion? Did her party force her to do this?

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/author-of-trump-dossier-told-fbi-had-a-source-inside-trump-campaign/article/2645411

Quote:

Author of Trump dossier told FBI had a 'source' inside Trump campaign

The former British intelligence officer that authored the so-called Trump dossier was told the FBI had someone inside President Trump's world giving FBI agents information.

This was revealed by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, whose August 2017 testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee was released Tuesday by ranking member Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.

"[M]y understanding was that they believed Chris at this point that they believed Chris might be credible because they had other intelligence that indicated the same thing and one of those pieces of intelligence was a human source from inside the Trump organization," Simpson said in his testimony, referring to Christopher Steele, the dossier's author.

According to Simpson, Steele first went to the FBI to say he was concerned Trump was being blackmailed, fearing a "national security threat."

When Steele met with the FBI in September 2016, that is when they told Steele they had the similar intelligence from an "internal Trump campaign source," Simpson testified.

My guess is Papadopoulos...who was a Hillary plant IMO. Any other ideas?

Quote:

Here is what we now know, per intelligence gleaned form federal law enforcement sources with insider knowledge of what amounts to a plot by U.S. intelligence agencies to secure back door and illegal wiretaps of President Trump's associates:

  • Six U.S. agencies created a stealth task force, spearhead by CIA's Brennan, to run domestic surveillance on Trump associates and possibly Trump himself.
  • To feign ignorance and to seemingly operate within U.S. laws, the agencies freelanced the wiretapping of Trump associates to the British spy agency GCHQ.
  • The decision to insert GCHQ as a back door to eavesdrop was sparked by the denial of two FISA Court warrant applications filed by the FBI to seek wiretaps of Trump associates.
  • GCHQ did not work from London or the UK. In fact the spy agency worked from NSA's headquarters in Fort Meade, MD with direct NSA supervision and guidance to conduct sweeping surveillance on Trump associates.
  • The illegal wiretaps were initiated months before the controversial Trump dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele.
  • The Justice Department and FBI set up the meeting at Trump Tower between Trump Jr., Manafort and Kushner with controversial Russian officials to make Trump's associates appear compromised.
  • Following the Trump Tower sit down, GCHQ began digitally wiretapping Manafort, Trump Jr., and Kushner.
  • After the concocted meeting by the Deep State, the British spy agency could officially justify wiretapping Trump associates as an intelligence front for NSA because the Russian lawyer at the meeting Natalia Veselnitskaya was considered an international security risk and prior to the June sit down was not even allowed entry into the United States or the UK, federal sources said.
  • By using GCHQ, the NSA and its intelligence partners had carved out a loophole to wiretap Trump without a warrant. While it is illegal for U.S. agencies to monitor phones and emails of U.S. citizens inside the United States absent a warrant, it is not illegal for British intelligence to do so. Even if the GCHQ was tapping Trump on U.S. soil at Fort Meade.
  • The wiretaps, secured through illicit scheming, have been used by U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe of alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 election, even though the evidence is considered "poisoned fruit."
Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who spearheaded the Trump Tower meeting with the Trump campaign trio, was previously barred from entering the United Sates due to her alleged connections to the Russian FSB (the modern replacement of the cold-war-era KGB).

Yet mere days before the June meeting, Veselnitskaya was granted a rare visa to enter the United States from Preet Bharara, the then U.S. Attorney for the southern district of New York. Bharara could not be reached for comment and did not respond the a Twitter inquiry on the Russian's visa by True Pundit.

Federal law enforcement sources said Bharara was simply following the orders of Attorney General Lynch, who lobbied the State Department to issue the disavowed Russian a B1/B2 non-immigrant visa. This permitted Veselnitskaya entry into the United States for the sole purpose of entrapping Trump associates to use as fuel to commission wiretaps, federal sources said.

Veselnitskaya may have been paid as well by the U.S. government, FBI sources said. It was reported last week that Steele, who compiled the Trump dossier was paid at least $100,000 from FBI funds as well. But that came later, after the wiretapping was well underway.

The illegal eavesdropping started long before Steele's dossier. Federal sources said the wiretaps on Trump insiders began in late 2015, almost a year before the 2016 election. The targets then were Flynn and Page, sources confirmed. When no smoking gun was recovered from those initial taps, U.S. intelligence agencies moved to broaden the scope through their newly-formed alliance.

Intelligence garnered from the British eavesdropping, which again was merely a front for the NSA, was then used in August 2016 to secure a legitimate FISA warrant on Manafort, Trump Jr. and Kushner. That warrant was issued on or about September, 2016, federal sources confirm.

It was the third time the cabal of U.S. intelligence agencies sought a FISA warrant for the Trump associates and this time it was approved.

FBI sources said finally obtaining the FISA warrant was important because it provided the agencies cover for previous illegal wiretapping which they believed would never be discovered.

"This would make for an incredible string of Senate hearings," one federal law enforcement source said. "I don't think they ever thought he (Trump) would win and information would come out about how they manipulated evidence."

I thought reports showed that she got into the country in January, way before the June meeting. It was temporary and no one knew how she was allow to stay until June. If I remember correctly, she may have left the country and then came back into the country between January and June.

Pretty clear that the FBI/DOJ + higher ups were using GCHQ to spy on the Trump Campaign long before a FISA warrant was finally obtained, circumventing the 702(17) law for surveillance of American citizens.

I don't buy any of this. Spying on Trump in 2015? Why? Makes no sense unless they were spying on ALL the republican primary candidates. Trump didn't even win the nomination till July 2016. If they were also tapping Cruz and Rubio, I think we would have heard something about it by now

I think he got some bad info here. And spinnin some bad theory based off it, especially in regard to GHCQ.

I do think GHCQ was used at points but it was probably really early on before FBI could gin up a reason to justify an approved FISA app, which they got in October 2016. Before that I imagine they either spied on Trump&Co illegally or had the Brits do it. It's worthwhile to understand that this was a standard practice between the US and UK, spies are asked to spy on citizens in the other country because it would be illegal if they did it. It's such a sham practice and when the smoke clears after this mess and we get the whole FISA debacle reformed, that'll need to be on the agenda.

NameRedacted asks why Rand would want to get rid of 702. For the same reason he wants to get rid of Sectin 215 of the Patriot Act. Its not because of the weird conspiracy reason NameRedacted thinks. Its because 702 is a threat to every American's 4th amendment rights. Its how the NSA justified having Verizon, AT&T, etc hand over ALL CALL/SMS DATA for ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS each and EVERY day. That was the very first of the Snowden revelations to hit the papers. 702 gives the state a MASSIVE amount of power. Thats why its going to be so hard to amend it. Theres going to be national-security hawks that are going to do everything they can to keep that power available to the federal government, even though its always impossible for these spying capabilities to not corrupt those who use it.

Also, that NamedRedacted guy is kind of a dick. He randomly accused me of trying to "defend Tom Fitton" while I was trying to ask someone else a question, and then he asked me whether he was going to have to mute me or not. It was confusing, and he seems like a slightly unhinged teenager who is having too much fun with all this conspiracy we're discussing.

So am I crazy or is anyone else "meh" about this one? Meh. I'm disregarding it.

I just noticed that the article was dated September 20th 2017. DAMMIT (im trying to get better at checking timestamps).

This theory is still junk, I think. But theres not really any new facts that can rule it out, so I'm still goin with my gut here. We don't know where GHCQ agents did the spying on us, such as in NSA headquarters as it alleges. We don't know if/how Natalia was paid. I don't think theres really 6 agencies all involved but cant say it doesnt. The agencies involved, from what we know today, are the FBI, DOJ, and to a lesser extent the NSA. The CIA was np doubt up to no good Im sure but not in this scandal we're dealing with.

Rand Paul came forward early and said he himself had been surveilled and most kinda just ignored him.

People really need to fully understand every one of us is being surveilled digitally. Some ******* in the XYZ group of the IC decides they want to know what Jim Bob has been up to the dial it up with Ft Meade and bring up your stuff. Now if they ever intend to use it in court, they put through the proper paperwork. If it's just a soft check and is basically info only, a peek is taken and no one will ever know unless someone reports it.

Point being they could have looked at one or seventeen at any time. Had ANYONE but Trump won this would all still be cloaked in darkness. This isn't Alex Jones silly stuff, it's real life.

Members of the ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus on Tuesday announced they would oppose a bill to extend the government's top foreign intelligence spying program, citing concerns about American's privacy rights.
The House is expected to vote on a bill to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) on Thursday. There are several dozen members of the Freedom Caucus and the group's opposition to a bill could kill it's chances of passing on the floor.

"The House Freedom Caucus is opposed to the FISA Amendments Reauthorization Act of 2017 because it allows the government to collect and search Americans' communications without a warrant," the caucus said in a statement.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have raised concerns about section 702 of the current law. The provision allows the National Security Agency to collect data and communication on persons of interest overseas. The controversy comes when an American citizen's personal information is caught up in the data collection when they have conversations with foreign nationals.
