If you can't handle the stress, log off until August. If you can handle the stress, be supportive and donate to United. No more buildings and concrete. Gotta channel funds to the collective for now.

The sound of the gun does not seem like a bump fire AR.

I don't understand the open door alarm.

What made this alarm triggered or worth checking out? A door was opened without a key? Was it a window alarm?

Any help?
Possibly from the barricaded stairwell? Maybe he blocked the door in a way that left the door open.

Could the windows be tied into the same alarm? Or maybe the doorway to the the connected room went wonky once filled with gunpowder and smoke?

That's what I'm not understanding. Praising him for responding to a door alarm, but unless it's a window alarm on the 37th floor (a simple door contact is cheap and not crazy to require in high rise hotels) then what would cause shooter to open any doors.

His goal was to barricade himself. Not sure he's opening any emergency doors or trying to break into his own room?

I don't think the FBI has told the truth about any of this. The new story about security showing up because of an open door alarm, that's laughable. Phone charger belongs to someone, likely his help. This entire deal is full of lies and misdirection to hide what really happened.

I know knothing about what happened in this instance, but security from Caesars did stop by my room when I propped my door open using the lock you can use from the inside, the one not on the door knob, when I was expecting friends to come to my room.

I am conspiratorial minded in general but on this situation my take is different.

I think all the conflicting info is a combo of incompetence and different ideologies internally battling on how they will spin reality to benefit their views.

No ****ing way he made anywhere close to 5 million playing video poker. No way he made half that.
Las Vegas video poker games website

I used to play some video poker and used the above link to find machines with full pay deuces wild games (FPDW). These had the best chance of providing a positive payout, but the maximum bet was $0.25 X 5 lines or $1.25 per game. No way you could physically play enough games in a year to earn $5 million and probably not enough time in 100 years.

If you look at the high limit games the maximum bet is $100 X 5 lines or $500 per play. I'm not going to do the math, but I doubt that you could play enough games in a year to win $5 million and that is if the high limits were FPDW. They're not full pay machines so over the long term you would actually lose money.

Like the previous poster stated, there is no ****ing way he made that kind of money playing video poker. The casinos would have to provide a win/loss statement to the IRS showing how he made that $5 million and the IRS would know better than anybody that it is physically impossible to make that much playing video poker.

IMO, it's WAY more likely that he's laundering money. And unless the IRS is grossly incompetent it's also very likely that they knew that.

I read somewhere that an AR-10 was in his room. That could potentially be what we are hearing. A .308 round is pretty similar to the ammo a 240B fires, the 7.62 x 51 NATO round. Just like the .223 with the 5.56 NATO round.

From first hand experience the IRS is grossly undermanned and overly incompetent.

True, so wouldn't they be devoting their limited manpower to returns that would have a high probability of fraud and/or errors? Their computer algorithms should have spit out that return for an audit. Unless maybe he didn't claim any sizable deductions and they're only looking for returns that claimed dubious losses so they can run up the fines and interest for more revenue.

Just seems strange to me that someone claiming that kind of an income off of gambling wouldn't be scrutinized. Especially when it's not possible to make that kind of an income off of a machine.

This. Is has spook blowback written all over it.

I don't know what happened. But I know for sure what did not happen:

Some random guy with apartments did not just go mad and do this for no good reason.

It was done for a purpose.

One video has one volley that sound like there *may* have been more than one gun. All other videos clearly point to one gun in one suite.

If I had to guess, odds are the pinned dude did it. And probably was alone by the time the shooting started or at least by the time the guard got there. . And probably killed himself.

Other than that the official story is bull*****

If only hotels had a way of knowing who had rented the room before. Then they could call and ask those people if they forgot their chargers.

How the hell do they know it is only a phone charger? Lots of electronics use the same chargers. Unless the charger was designed for a specific phone and that's the only use possible then chances are the charger could be multi use!

The other charger seems to be a strange talking point to focus on. Clearly the public is really easily distracted though when you talk about a cell phone charger that doesnt match

especially if it's a generic USB charger. lots of different things charge via USB

I think there's a gun deal or sting gone wrong here. We've heard there were 47 guns in the room. Why have we only seen pics do 4, maybe 5 of those guns? Could it be that the rest were nicely packed in a case for convenient transport or display?

Every report has said 21 or 23 (I think 23 is the latter figure) in the hotel room; the rest at his home, unless there is a new report that just came out.

I think the authorities are lying in the press reports because some of the media reports from "unnamed sources" have some slight inconsistencies with the press conferences.

Now we know unnamed sources are usually fake news but with this story I don't see any motive for falsified leaks or reports like we had with Trumps admin. Unless reporters just are using sources too far outside of the actual investigation to get a scoop.

But today I read an article, it was CNN or Fox that said very plainly they were looking for a woman he was with. Then in the press conference there are no other people involved? Did the reporter or the source make that up?

I don't yet believe that they know nothing about his motives. But I don't think he was linked to the government or ISIS.

And he was a crazy loner by the way he lived, but still you would think the FBI would have found something to indicate that he had mental issues and that they'd have presented it.

And I don't think it's some gun running or gun deal gone bad. Why would a gun runner go on a suicidal killing spree? He was living the good life by all accounts. I think he was a sociopath. But there is more to it... he was radicalized by something, he had an alternate identity, he was involved in some other group of nuts, something influenced him perhaps... we don't know yet, but some Millionaire just deciding to kill a bunch of people has to be the least likely of every proposed theory.

Blah blah blah, if anybody is mad about conspiracies then watch ancient aliens: declassified. That's some conspiracy crap that will make you want to undo as you wish you never watched or listened. At this point, the discussions here seem to be decent theories. Seems like theories are dismissed once something clearly contradicts the theory. I say, carry on.
