73 -Plural marriage is not a scandal. It was ordained by God and we are proud of it. It was valid in the Old Testament when God commanded it asit was in the early days of the LDS Church. The "Church" had nothing to do with the Mountain Meadows incident and try as they might the enemies of the Church have not been able to prove what they wanted, ie. a link between Church leaders and the people who acted on their own. There is no comparison between our Church and the actions of your Popes over the centuries. Bad and faulty comparison and I think you know it.

The Catholic church has had plenty of sinners in it from day one. However, it didn't impact doctrine (This doesn't mean certain doctrine wasn't abused).

Mormons changed (made up) doctrine to line up with their abuses (polygamy/anti-black doctrine/secret temple worship).

Ra -the Lord gives and the Lord takes away. You know why the principle of plural marriage was suspended. Yu also know the Church was not anti-black because from the very beginning we had baptized Black members. It is documented that at leat three black families went west with the Saints. And as far as "secret" temple worship, there is no one who is a baptized member for a year, and lives up to his baptismal covenants, who is not permitted to go to the temple and particpate in everything that goes on there. I would like to think that if these were "secrets", they should be harder to find out.

Can I accompany you as go through the temple next time? Not just the visitors lobby. You are welcome to come with me to any Catholic service I attend.

Rab -and you can come with me to any service that I go to; and after one year after your baptism, it would be a privelege to go with you when you take out your endowments.

Temple ceremonies are not "congregations" like you or I would attend on Sundays.

So then they are secret. Again, you are welcome to come to any Catholic ceremony/service (mass, first communion, confirmation, MARRIAGE, ordination). I will answer any question to the best of my ability on any Catholic ceremony. I won't hide behind the 'secret' excuse like mormons do.

Rab -no, "sacred" in which a person must "clean" up his act, to be "clean" when he or she goes, to mean a very high standard of personal righteousness to qualify.
