SLC has a population of 178K just about, with over 1,000,000 in the SLC Metropolitain area.
When I was there in 1994, Salt Lake was 87% Mormons. Given that it's 79% white, does that say something about the lack of racial diversity in the Mormon religion?
Maybe the same thing could be said about demographics within Southern Baptist churches, I dunno. I know up until 40 - 50 years ago, minorities were not welcomed in Southern Baptist churches.
I just found it interesting and wanted to see how both sides would argue this point.
