Can't help but think we're on the precipice of this in the literal sense. When Harris wins, US foreign policy will double down on weakness and surrender to Islam.

Biden was wishy washy on Israel and I see Harris just pulling the plug. Not only do I see the US ceasing relations with Israel but sadly think this will be its entry into the axis of evil which is already laying its roots around the globe. Do we think the UK is actually going to be a Christian country in 50 years? How about 10?

This all worries me. But at the same time, assuming my theory is true, we as Christians should welcome this.

Thoughts?
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

I don't agree with the OP assumption. I believe regardless of who wins we will still fully fund the Israeli military and support them bombing their neighbors, including setting explosives in civilian products like beepers. I believe taking this hard handed approach and then silencing any critics is what is causing the anger and frustration towards Israel.

I don't think hamas is innocent by any means, nor the do I support Islam.

The Palestinian Christians are suffering greatly being caught in the middle, their churches, schools and hospitals are being leveled and they didn't participate in any of the violence. The middle eastern wars from Iraq to the current conflict are basically wiping out the Christians and leveling some of the most ancient churches that have apostolic roots. All the while the jihadists and zionists have become more erratic and blood thirsty. Continuing to fund both sides and participating in this blood lust might make a lot of people rich and powerful, but it is the definition of insanity.

Former President Bill Clinton brokered a deal in the 1990s to give Palestinians their own state (96% of the West Bank plus 4% of Israeli territory-Gaza plus access to all the security towers built by Israel). Ehud Barak, the Israeli leader and his cabinet agreed. The deal soured because of Palestinian extremists, notably Hamas.

Interesting place to start the finger pointing considering the zionist endeavor started at least 100 years before that.

You can blame the Zionist endeavor of the Exodus about 3500 years ago.

The Israeli people are. You may not like that, but there it is.
Zech. 2:8:

The Hassidic Jews do not agree with you.

Honest question if they are the same people why do they go by Israeli instead of Israelite like their forefathers?

The ancient Christian interpretation is that the nation of Israel continues in the Church. After rejecting the resurrected Christ and the new and everlasting covenant, those descendents of Abraham lost the temple and their sacrifice, thus signifying that the covenant they were trying to keep had ended. At that point they started a new religion of Rabbinical Judiasim whose descendents now inhabit that land.

Sigh.

Romans 11:

" 11 Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12 But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!"

How are we bringing Isreal to Christ by supporting their wars where they are wiping out the Christian populations along with the Muslims?

"We" aren't. Saving Israel is God's sovereign work. The fact that they are back in the land in fulfillment of prophecy is witness to this.
(Amos 9:1415; Deuteronomy 30:35; Ezekiel 4:3-6, 37:10, 14, 37:21,22; Isaiah 66:78; Jeremiah 3:18, 16:14, 15, 24:6).

So the people of the ancient nation of Judah have settled back in the land they were from and started a modern nation. And because they aren't Christians it doesn't count as… what? A nation of Jews descended from Abraham?

Not what I said.

It is a secular state full of mostly secular people who do share a common ancestry to varying degrees. No dispute there.

To use it in the Christian Zionists perspective that basically by blessing Isreal they are blessing themselves in a superstitious reciprocation. Also, by bringing the Jews back to the Holy Land they will hasten the second coming by such things as rebuilding the temple, and restoring animal sacrifice. So in that sense yes.

So you have subzero problems with a state built around ethnic identity but the fact that Christian Zionists support it is what really irritates you?

No just so called Christians doing their best to bring on the reign of Antichrist weather they realize it or not. The whole point of zionism is messianic. Problem is he has already come and the one they want to bring ain't him.

No it isn't. It's explicitly not that. Zionism began as a response to the brutal oppression and persecution of Jews in Eastern Europe, the poverty and repression in the MENA region, and gained popularity after the Dreyfus Affair in France, one of the supposedly most tolerant of European nations. The goal of Zionism is a state for Jews to be free of oppression and persecution. It was always a secular goal. Any messianic Kingdom of Israel would look different than the state of Israel and any Orthodox or Haredi Jew you spoke to would emphasize that. Also, the Jewish expectations for the messiah would look very different from the claims made about an Antichrist.

Who is "they" in this context? Herzl wasn't bringing over red heifers. Also, the heifers are meant to consecrate the tools used for temple sacrifices. Even a hypothetical construction of the Third Temple wouldn't make the modern state of Israel the messianic kingdom and I'm not aware of any Jews saying it would.

Zionism was mostly secular and the later Aliyahs were driven by a lot of immigration to secular moshavs (agricultural communities).
Much of that land was purchased from Arabs. Today in the West Bank it is just taken by force. American evangelicals were certainly supportive generally of Israel from 1948. Harry Truman was, despite objections from the State Department and other officials who were hesitant to alienate newly emerging oil producing states in the region.
You may be conflating certain figures' preoccupation with Israel establishing a temple with blind support for Israeli policy. I doubt any action taken by any evangelical is going to speed such an event. The millennial reign, if we believe scripture, is going to feature a royal government administering justice with righteousness and strict obedience to its authority.

The extremism of both sides is informing policy right now for the Israelis and Palestinians. Until moderating factions take control of both the PA and the Israeli government, there will be no compromise. That requires something neither side is apparently willing to broach: an end to violence against Jews and an end to Israeli settler encroachment on long-held Palestinian land.
