I love Rome.

I can't imagine how liberal the next pope will be. For pope Francis has spoken in infallibility over the last ten or so years that this is sheep stealing. No prosyletizing.

Pray she reforms or joins us. Or we could all form a merger to make each other better.
For love is indeed a conversation.

When I partake of the Eucharist today, I will say "God bless the Catholic Church" in front of my Priest (he would agree). And may that be the National day of Catholic prayer for wisdom. For St. James declared that God freely gives wisdom to whoever asks for it.

I am almost emotionally done. This must be sent in continuous by all the elect that she will be a pure bride again. And that goes for all the church to which includes Protestants.
I'm tired of the Catholic bashing. And if I come across that way. Well, you just don't know me yet…

Christ has always been in charge, always will be.

Pope Francis hasn't ever once said anything infallible. It is clear you don't know how that works. That is why it is frustrating and annoying when you go around telling us what we're do wrong, I agree and pray for unity of Christians. Everyone who believes should realize the scandal when they read John 17.

I am not Catholic but from my reading the only time the Pope is considered infallible is when he speaks ex cathedra, which is incredibly rare.

The misunderstanding by Protestants of Catholics and Catholics of Protestants is sad.

We should be united in advancing the Kingdom of God.

This papacy as well as recent past papacies seem, to varying degrees, to promote a more humanist approach. An elevation of the second greatest commandment. A devaluing of the first greatest commandment seems to be the effect. The article in the OP speaks only of issues related to our relationships with others... very horizontal. Nothing is reported about a possible call to conversion and repentance, but we can speculate because Pope Francis is on record against proselytizing. So, why be all-in on the Gospel of Jesus Christ if I'm good enough because I care for my fellow man? See where this goes? It implies that Christ doesn't matter or rather a relationship with Him is superfluous. Kyrie Eleison.

I find it interesting that you have chosen this passage in the Gospels to criticize the "recent past papacies" (Popes Francis/Benedict/John Paul II) for devaluing a relationship with Christ, "superfluous" as you put it. Because in fact they are two sides of the same coin. A "both and" not an "either or" understanding that are the foundation of Jesus' ministry, read verse 40 again.

For me, this again highlights the struggle that not just the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus' time, but of the righteous in our time have with the mercy at the root of Christ's message- namely that he died for all. That he calls all to come to the table of plenty. That all are welcomed in the house of God.

Pope Francis has emphasized that Jesus came for the sinners and not the righteous. So he has built bridges to the people on periphery and emphasized an evangelization that is based on Jesus' love and mercy instead of a person's merit or understanding. For some, those in the center maybe, that can seem like a radical or scandalous method to bearing witness to truth of God. But I think it is a wonderful chance to dialogue and find common ground. Who knows what that could mean to them and us. That is why Jesus added a new commandment when he said,

34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (Jn 13:34-35)
