Should have just stopped there. That idolatry has no business in the church. That was state worship, pure and simple. The fact that the music leader kept calling it worship was appropriate. That performance was for America, not God.
When the music leader continually calls their American praise hymns "worship", it shows where the heart and mind is. Those songs weren't about God. They were about America. Want to sing these nationalist praise hymns? Go right ahead. They don't belong in church.garc said:
