Levi Windle, one of this years Grey Pots for UP needs your prayers. I don't have many details right now, but he hurt himself pretty bad. I heard it through the grapevine that he may have a broken neck. The accident has nothing to do with the UP bonfire, or the bonfire site. Im sure more details will be here soon, but just pray for him now.

Thanks for making this clear.

I can now confirm. His neck is very swollen, he is currently paralyzed, and they are unsure about the extent of the damage.

From what I was told, he was climbing a fence somewhere and fell. It was in NO WAY related to any UP activities.

This really sucks. I just got the call about it. I've only known Levi since last year, but he's one of the greatest Ags I've ever met. Please keep him in your prayers.

I can't really confirm much, but from what Ive heard he may be paralyzed. I don't think his injuries are life threatening, but Im not positive. Keep praying.

The latest word is that Levi is in a Coma. It's seriously prayer time Ags. Get on your knees.

I just talked to a friend who came from the hospital. Levi is in a coma and he said "Its not looking good." They won't know much more till tommorow. Please continue to pray.

He either fell off a roof or off a fence. Not sure though.

I just talked to a friend that missed visiting hours, but talked to the doctor. He said Levi is stable, but is still in a coma. To respect his privacy I won't post more info unless I hear some good news. We should know more by tommorow. Be sure to keep the prayers up.

I'm headed back up there right now. We were told visiting hours are at 8:30. I'll let you know if anything has changed.

Oh my gosh, that's crazy. I used to be good friends with Levi, although I haven't seen him in awhile. I will certainly keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated. I really hope he is alright.

I've spent most of my afternoon at the hospital with Levi and his family, and here is what I can say.

He was injured very severely while hurdling a fence last night, and it is in no way connected with UP or Bonfire or anything remotely like that.

He broke his neck and is currently in the hospital in a "very deep coma." He has very intensive swelling around his brain and neck, making any kind of brain scans inconclusive or just plain impossible. He is currently on medications to reduce the swelling by morning so doctors can get in and check on his condition in the morning. They are unsure if there is any brain damage or not - that's what they're going to find out in the morning. He is currently on a respirator (not sure if he's breathing on his own or not).

Needless to say, he needs all of our prayers. We should know a lot more in the morning.

He's a great guy and is definitely in my prayers.

Prayers are being said for this young man. My heart is with he and his family. Our 18 yr. old nephew was injured last Saturday playing rugby and may be paralyzed. He is concious, thank God and has survived two surgeries so far - one for five hours. The permanent damage to his spinal cord cannot be determined yet.

So, from one heartbroken family to another, you are in our prayers. God will give you the strength to deal with this and remember, He does miracles every day.

Just got back from the hospital. No change from earlier to speak of. The doctors did say that his pupils were somewhat responsive, but that it was too early to tell much. Keep praying.

I'm going into work early in the morning so I can be there for the 930 visitation. I'll try to keep everyone here apprised.

I have known Levi for some time as a former Walton Warrier and from Unity Project and he is one of the most honest and down to earth individuals I have ever known. This saddens me deeply, and Levi and all of his family and friends will be in my thoughts constantly.

Levi, you'll be there when it burns!

No change overnight. As of 9 am this morning, they were still waiting on the doctor to see him. Hopefully someone who can be there for the 9:30 visitation will get more details. His family seems to be doing okay for the moment. Everyone from out of state made it safely and they were all at the hospital when I left. There are lots of people there around the clock to support them and Levi.
