The evaluation of Dr. Murano has an attachment in which bonfire is mentioned by her on page 6. It is not earth shattering news, but the signs of life - even if faint - for a university sponsored bonfire continue.

Well I hope Elsa Murano makes the right decision and says yes to Bonfire returning to campus. Bonfire will forever burn regardless if it goes back to campus or not. Student Bonfire has done an outstanding job of continuing the tradition. If Murano believes in the University as much as she claims, and believes in tradition as much as she claims, she will say yes. It would be nice to see Bonfire back on campus, but even if it doesn't, Bonfire WILL BURN EVERY YEAR! It may be off-campus, but it's built by Aggies, for Aggies (current, future, friends, family, etc...), hence Aggie Bonfire! A tradition that wil ALWAYS stand for something and will NEVER die out. Aggie Bonfire is the one event every year I look forward to. Build and burn the hell outta Aggie Bonfire!!!!

Would it be so awful it things stayed the way they are? From what I understand, each year it grows and is more widely accepted by the community, better enabling the business to build and save money to give back.
