How long do you want to ignore this user?
That was the best ending!

Yeah right. No way they wouldn't give it to Jim.

Ryan! Sweet!

Ryan as Michael's boss is going to be clutch next season.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ryan going from a temp to a corporate position just because of an MBA is a bit unbelievable but it is a comedy so I guess it can slide.

I guess Jim withdrew but what about Karen?

The Creed blog on Word was hilarious!

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Um, did Jim leave Karen in the city?

That episode was outstanding

True, but I still don't think he ever made a sale.

And yes....looked as if Jim left Karan in the city.

Ryan hasn't been a temp for a while I thought. When Jim left, he took Jim's job? And corporations do strange things all the time. I know someone who went from intern to director at a Fortune 15 company in 1.5 years.

I can't wait to see Ryan come in to check on Michael...

Does this mean Jim is keeping his old job?

They setup alot of really good story lines for next season.

these producers have to know that the show will tank if the jim and pam get hooked up.

i'm sure they'll find someway to eff this relationship up and keep them apart.
Noble07
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yea...there has to be some kind of string attached to Jim/Pam
Spaceship
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I guess Jim is keeping his original job. If he left Karen in the city to come back to ask out Pam, that's awesome!

isn't Ryan one of the show's writers? Might that play into his role a little bit? Maybe he wants to spend more time writing and less time acting?

From BJ Novak on the post-episode blog:

quote:
I think there will be some very funny plots next year involving Michael and Ryan... Their relationship could take on some characteristics of Michael and Jan... I'm sure that's Ryan's fear anyway. Thanks for the question. The short answer is I'm looking forward to that twist from both sides of camera.

Toby and Kelly also serve as writers. Toby's a fantastic actor, kelly's ok, ryan's a spare which I guess is his role.

Everyone quiet down and listen to Dwight's presentation!!

That episode was awesome.

Dwight:What is the ratio of Stanley nickels to Shrute bucks?

Stanley: About the same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns.

Dwight's reign of power was hilarious. It would've been nice to have seen that last for a few episodes.

Unicorns to Lepreuchans
Brilliant!

Jan definitely made the show tonight

Yeah, if you don't believe Ryan could go from his position to a corporate job just like that, then you must not have a job in corporation.

He's got an MBA, and we have no idea what he's been doing behind the scenes. He obviously got a an interview with the guy without anyone else knowing.

It's all about who you know. And if you don't believe that, then you will likely spend your entire life in a cubicle.

I loved Dwight interviewing Andy.

And, Michael coming back and asking why his office was painted black was genius.

This part killed me. Also enjoyed the interview with Andy.

Dwight: "You're not doing well so far."

Andy: "I agree... but on the other hand I am, don't you think?"

the ending left the door open for a ton of possibilities. How do we know that the CFO offered the job to Ryan? We don't. Maybe he offered him Michael's job at Scranton, while giving Karen the job at corp. When Jim asked Karen out, maybe that's to celebrate he and Karen engagement? Lots of what if's. Great finale.

Is anyone else concerned with the idea of firing a senior level female executive, and promoting (even if it's not to the same position) a young male who may not have the experience or qualifications, except on paper?

I know, it's just a tv show, but that's also not a very good message to send.
