I just got the DVD of Super Troopers. *meow*

Love the film. Would I like Club Dread too? I've heard it's more horror than comedy (and I'm really not a big horror movie fan). Any truth to that?

In other news I see that Broken Lizard wrote the script for the Dukes of Hazard too. Although they didn't get the writing credit for some obscure writer's guild reason, and Jay the Indian guy directed the movie. Now I actually want to go see the film. *meow*

I liked 'em both but thought Club Dread was funnier. It's more of a very effective spoof of a horror movie than it is a horror movie.

What he said...still plenty of funny broken lizard stuff...they also wrote and directed the dukes of hazard movie.

I'm still wishing I could find Puddle Cruiser somewhere to watch. Club Dread had lots of funny stuff (plus some nice topless shots) but I didn't think it was as funny as Super Troopers.

Puddle Cruiser is not out on DVD yet. It's set to come out in September I believe.

Bill Paxton makes Club Dread worth a look. He's hysterical.

Club Dread funnier? Gorgeous women in next to nothing was great, but that movie was horribly not funny when compared to Super Troupers, unless your favorite movies are complete spoofs such as the Naked Gun series.

the great thing about club dread is that despite being a horror movie spoof, it actually winds up being a pretty decent horror movie in and of itself. it has it's funny moments, but because it's a horror movie it's not as funny as super troopers.

I have to agree. I thought Super Troopers was okay, so I rented Club Dread. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Stupid and not funny at all. If you thought it was funny, you must have been high when watching it. Just awful.

nah, I don't belong to any netflix type places.

I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD in Oct (that's when IMDb says it'll be out). I do appreciate the help. I just avoid free trials because of habit of getting hooked by the bait.

See Dukes of HAzzard, then, I guarantee you willnot go home disappointed.

The crappy Dukes of Hazzard was directed by Jay Chandrasekhar (Trooper Ramathorn from ST). I find it pretty sad that the guy could be talented enough to write and direct ST, and also direct great shows like Undeclared and Arrested Development, yet still make crap like Club Dread and Dukes of Hazzard.
