Saw F4 last night. There were good things and bad things about it.
Good:
-Alba's cleavage (and she showed it a lot)
-Chiklis as the Thing (I actually liked rubber suit costume and his performance was spot-on)
-Chris Klein as the Torch. Him and Chiklis were the best things about the film.
-the explanation of their suits was pretty cool.
-I'm glad they included Alicia Masters in it.
Bad:
-Alba's acting
-the guy who was Mr. Fantastic was badly miscast. He has an accent that he tried hard to hide. It was very distracting. Also, they wrote him as a bumbling awkward nerd.
-Doom was completely wrong and the actor cast as him was wrong. He was written as a billionaire pretty boy with a financial power-lust who, for some unknown reason, turns evil. It didn't make any sense. However, they got the costume and mask right.
As a comic-book fan, I picked it apart but still had a decent time. My wife, however, thought it was great. Probably because she didn't know about the characters before hand (and didn't know that Dr. Doom doesn't have any super powers!!!)
Ranking the Marvel movies:
Spiderman 2
X-Men 2
The Hulk
Spiderman 1
Fantastic 4
Blade
Blade 2
X-Men 1
The Punisher
Daredevil
So, F4 is pretty much in the middle: not bad, but not great.
