Anyone else going? I'm in queue for San Antonio on 5/22.

I'll be there in San Antonio. Although I'm so spoiled now from the No Repeat Weekends, I couldn't resist not going. Especially since I'll also be seeing them in Vegas at Sphere in March

Two nights at the Sphere too. Next month.
Honestly, I don't think you could do Iron Maiden as an opener for Metallica. I just saw Maiden night before last in LA and they're as good as ever.An L of an Ag said:
Supposedly Iron Maiden as well.

Same here. It's going to be my first time seeing them live. I'm debating on selling the Thursday ticket and just going to one show and offset the cost of the package.

If this is your first time seeing them live, then I suggest going to both. You'll want more after night 1, especially since you'll only hear half the big songs you want to hear

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that they intentionally split sets between the two shows.

I've listened to them for the past 30 years but never seen them live,,,maybe some day. Didn't know the story of Cliff Burton until recently. Wow.

I won that Live S**t box set from some MTV contest a long time ago. It was my proudest moment.
this actually IS a cool story, bro!Counterpoint said:

I got it for Xmas that year it came out. I ended up seeing it somewhere in my parents room or something.Mat Lanticus said:this actually IS a cool story, bro!Counterpoint said:

When my older brother got this when it was released I thought that was the end all/be all of music performances and packaging.
Hell it probably still is the GOAT!

Crazy how 30+ years later they are releasing box sets that are the gold standard of extra content. They were so far ahead of the game.
I need so much more time on my hands than what I currently have to get through these behemoths.

That's a sweet setup 62! I certainly don't have a collection that nice. Most of my stuff is boxed up but I always keep these in a safe location.
Last I checked the 24k Gold discs were worth quite a bit on eBay. Not bad for $20/each at BestBuy back in the early 00's. I've only listened to them once and the sound quality was absolutely incredible.

my brother has literally probably 300-400 of those MoFi ultra disc and gold cds.
He was buying them up big time as they were released.
I'm glad I picked up the early deluxe box sets before they got too crazy. People are paying for MOP alone what I paid for the first 3 all together. I've gotten the rest as new stock retail. Pretty sure there's no more new stock of the first 4.
