I think this is the version that had been on my list. I LOVED the first two Three Musketeers books and would recommend them to anyone. (Not the third one, unfortunately)

Admittedly the original French version with captions is way better than the English dub but my wife couldn't stand for it.

It may have 98% on RT but as a big fan of the books, I don't like it. It's a gritty reimagining where everyone is dirty and unshaven and ****s and all the fights are long single-takes full of chaos.

It's not bad, but it's not the swashbuckler genre like the books. Aramis (the priest!) tortured a dude for information. Porthos isn't even remotely like his book self.

I'm disappointed. I don't care if the plot is different but it's like a different genre and that's a little bit of a bummer. But if you don't care, it's probably pretty good.
