I hope Guy Ritchie makes more TV. Between this and The Gentlemen he's made great TV shows in back to back years.

Trying to determine if my wife would like this or of it would be too much for her. She hates violent shows (but loved Peaky Blinders). If its too dark she'll probably check out. If the story is strong enough then she'llfig96 said:
Not as lighthearted but just as much violence and British gangsters.
Is it ever, I thought Eddie was going to get it started by snorting coke in the bathroom or shoulder bumping the guard.LCE said:

100% agree. The movie isn't great, but the show is outstanding. It's got a sense of humor, Mob Land not so much.AgNav93 said:Yes. Absolutely.usmcbrooks said:Is this better than the movie?Max Power said:

Well we all have exceptions (granted I agree that it's definitely a big compromise with the likes of Peaky Blinders). She got really good and shutting her eyes at the right time. Kind if like my real world example of I hate country music, but I love Willie Nelson….oklaunion said:

That 2nd sentence makes absolutely no sense.

I agree with this. Harry is loyal to Conrad and Maeve wants him out due to that. Plus, it's obvious Maeve is controlling what she can till Eddie can takeover eventually.Sea Speed said:
Harry is immensely loyal to Conrad and Kevin and is very violent and isn't going to go along with a take over by the twenty something **** up so he has to go. At least that's what I assume.
Fantastic show. Tom hardy is fantastic.
Make sure to watch with subtitles. Easier to follow things with that dialect.EclipseAg said:
I need to go back and watch this from the beginning. I've seen all the episodes but it's been stop and start on a couple of them and it's a challenge keeping up with who is who.

He's an absolute idiot so I am sure she is using him to some other end, not to take over the family.
