I love the show so far (not a medical person). It's definitely grittier than ER and I really like the characters so far. I wonder how many times Whitaker (young white med student) is going to have to change his scrubs in this one shift. There's a lot of hours left to cover lol.
.

With the show being so serious, it feels a little out of place to have the running gag of "what bodily fluid is he getting sprayed with next?"

Enjoying it even though the machine gun of PC/woke topics are eyeroll inducing. That kind of thing doesn't bother me and it's almost comedic at this point. But I like the characters, the intensity, and the authenticity on the rest

Welcome to the ER. My wife cusses like a sailor and according to her, everyone that works in the ER, both doctors and nurses, have a very immature sense of humor.

Mostly caught up on the episodes. I agree, this show has gone out of its way to portray a mostly accurate account of life, death and work in the ER. Including the angry psych patient spraying everyone with urine.

Everything on the show I've personally seen and also taken care of.

Waiting for the biker gang shoot out episode…..

In the middle of watching this. Have an episode or two to catch up on.

Most painful case for me so far is the couple that came in with their brain-dead son and couldn't accept that he was gone.

Close second was the brother and sister hanging on to their elderly father.

Really good show.

I work in EMS and the brother/sister hanging on to the Father was tough to watch. I work in an area with aging patient population have calls like that once a month. The medicine/treatment aspect is straight forward but managing the emotions of the family is challenging because they are usually under a great deal of stress.

But overall it is a good show that does show all sides of the patient and provider view points. Side note, going to the hospital by ambulance does not guarantee that you will be placed in a room. A lot of non-urgent cases go to the lobby. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk….

Nope. We lock them so we do not end up on the news like HFD.

Happened at my hospital a few years back while I was on shift. We all gathered around the security camera monitor and just kept replaying the video and laughing.
