I didn't see a thread for this movie on the first 3 pages.

After seeing the previews , I had no interest in watching this movie. Thought it looked terribly cheesy. My wife wanted to watch it last night so I joined her.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. JK Simmons did a great job playing Santa and the Rock did too as Santa's chief of security. Initially I did not think either were good choices, I was wrong.

It was a fun Christmas movie. Give it a watch, if you have some time to kill.

Was thinking less known actors would be better choices. Someone fatter and more jovial than JK Simmons and the Rock is in too many movies, imo.

Finished it this afternoon after starting last night. Fun and interesting especially for a Christmas movie. They're usually not that inventive. We'll probably watch it again this year then put it in the annual rotation if it stays available.

I thought that Tormund was an exceptional Krampus.

It wasn't as good as Violent Night, but it was a pretty good little popcorn flick.

My 6 year old downloaded it to his tablet and watched it on repeat over the weekend. So, I guess he is ok with it. I didn't watch it with him, so I can't comment on the language. My wife did, and she is ok with it.

Saw it with the kids a couple weeks ago. It was fine. The weird thing is that they made it pg-13 seemingly just so they could use curse words? The actual content is very little kid friendly. Maybe they thought it would make it appeal more to adults if they got a pg-13 so they threw in random curse words. Just kind of odd.

That's how I felt about it, as well. They could have easily left out the curse words, and it would have been just as good. They even threw in a "What the fu..." that gets cut off.

It's not great but exactly what you expect it to be, fun popcorn Christmas movie. And jacked JK Simmons is now my favorite Santa.

Felt like the same formula as Guardians of the Galaxy. For kids sure, but we need to make it edgy and sarcastic to bring in some teenagers. In fact, I didn't know who this movie was for, kids, teens, adults? It was kind of all over the place in that regard. But I don't regret watching it but I won't watch it again, nor will my kids.

Fun movie.

Liked the advanced North Pole, awesome reindeer, Garcia, and also the delivering presents sequence.

And as already noted, the Tormond Krampus was solid.

Lots of fun aspects thrown in this movie.

We saw this in the theater, more or less as a "let's go see a movie - oh this looks fun" kind of thing. Really enjoyed it!

I dont know when or even if we'd have gotten around to deciding to watch this movie. I assumed standard meh with popular faces.

We watched it last night after reading this thread and even then I had low expectations. We both loved this movie. It was fun how they managed to put a different spin on the who/how/why of Santa and the other stuff that Lucy''s group does.

It had some pretty funny moments. The beach resort even tossed in some nice visuals in bikinis. Overall we really enjoyed it and I can see it going in the lineup. Maybe not annual but not many are these days. In the every other year or third year rotation for certain.

Funny say that. My son called it the Marvel Christmas Movie. Anyways, everyone in my family seemed to like it. Definitely worth streaming.

And it wasn't needed. The only thing that the cussing did was make me wonder "why do they feel the need to put that in there?"

It's not going to be on our list of movies to watch every year.

There must be some statistic that says PG-13 movies do better at the box office. Marvel movies always tries for a PG-13 rating, even though a huge part of their audience is 5 (certainly not every one, though).
