The first official entry of James Gunn's new DCU begins this Thursday with a two-episode premiere, with the season as a whole currently sitting at an impressive 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not to mention, at least one character (Rick Flag Sr., voiced/played by Frank Grillo), if not more, will appear in the live-action Superman next July (while other characters are set to make their live-action debuts in additional future DCU projects). In other words, it sounds like this is definitely worth checking out, for multiple reasons...

Watched the first two yesterday, and it's very much a James Gunn show. They laid out a few compelling storylines, like Frankenstein and the Bride. The Sons of Themyscira thing is hilarious.

I will say I kind of wish we didn't already know that the Bride and Nina survive

I enjoyed the first two episodes a ton. Gunn is a master craftsman at making things weird and fun.

And given who he is in this, it will be interesting to see Frank Grillo's character in Peacemaker S2.
