Due to a lack of decent things to watch lately, I have resumed working my way through Arrested Development and I'm about halfway through Season 2. The current episode is about 10 times funnier than the one directly before it so it has me wondering… what's the best/funniest season of Arrested Development?

I enjoy season 1 and 2 the same. Season 3 has its moments and anything after that just not the same.

Thanks for the info - - this is exactly what I was looking for.
AD gets progressively funnier until about mid season 3, then begins a downhill slide until the end of 3. Then just jumps off a damn cliff and is truly awful.
Season 2 might be my favorite comedy season ever. I enjoyed season 3 as well, and didn't hate the add on years as much as many others.
It's a tossup between Arrested Development and the Righteous Gemstones for greatest ensemble comedy ever.
If you dig the show, definitely check out the Smartless podcast some time - Bateman and Arnett are on it, and they frequently have guests who were part of the family or guest starred.

Not a month goes by that I'm not casually having a tame conversation in the kitchen as I open up the fridge and yell "WHO THE **** TOOK MY HARD BOILED EGGS".

There are times when I'm stuck in traffic and say "I've made a huge mistake".
When my kids ask me for money, I say, "There's always money in the banana stand..." And just like Michael, they have no idea what I'm taking about.
