I saw that movie as a grown ass man and it scared me more than any movie ever in my life. Watching the pane of glass decapitate that guy and his head bounce along as it slice through....yeesh!!

Speaking of Rogue One, there was so much joy in that movie for me that harkened back to 1977 - 1983, the time of the original trilogy. Not only did it tell a great story, it was great movie overall that slotted into my overall Star Wars rankings as the third best. We all know the awesomeness of Vader cutting through the Rebel soldiers, but just the imagery of the original Death Star receiving its planet-killing weapon and then showing up in orbit of Jedda and Scarif. I rank the space battle at the end as the best of the series. And I loved seeing AT-ATs in action again (even if they seemed to be more transport-oriented than offensive weapons).

Lord Ichimonji descending the castle steps surrounded by two armies


brings to mind Jet Li's Nameless character in Hero (2002) who abandons his mission to kill the king and descends the palace steps surrounded by a cautious army.
