Historically, women in domestic violence situations have stayed with their abuser.

I'm not saying that's the case here because I don't have enough info, but her actions aren't exactly shocking from what I have seen personally.

from what I read there are text messages that she has....I think Garth is trying to save face in the media at this point of not wanting to be shown that he cheated on "Mrs. Yearwood". To be fair it wouldn't be the first time he was screwing around on his wife.

How many times does this pattern need to happen for you to start believing it? Because this seems to be pretty common, especially with people in positions of power.

There are some things here to question her story, but if she has the texts, there's not much left to question. Other than consensual affair that she's now trying to cash in on, or very inappropriate boss.

I think the default should be take any allegation seriously but wait for the facts before deciding who is to be believed, It's how we treat every other crime in this country,

You seem to be caught up in semantics because that's basically what I said. By taking it seriously you believe the accusations may be accurate. Too many people immediately start trying to discredit the woman's story. That's the part I take issue with. I never said there shouldn't be an investigation. In fact I said the exact opposite.

You literally said the default should be to believe the accuser. Therefore the assumption is that the accused is guilty.
