It was kind of funny going into the series wanting to see some of my attitude era favorites and only got to see a couple. Big Show was only ever visible in a background poster in one shot. Poor Mark Henry was shown once in the ring with Nation of Domination and then a closeup of his face when he was, umm, compromised for a minute.

I didn't understand the Bret issue.

He was leaving the WWF. Why did he think he deserved to win, cheap the belt, and then leave?

You're leaving. You leave the belt.
The only reason Bret left was because Vince reneged on their deal and basically said he wasnt able to honor his contract anymore. Bret initially turned down WCW's lucrative offer to stay on with WWE even after Vince offered him less money, a year later Vince basically says sorry we cant honor your contract anymore and you have to go.

Vince did him dirty reneging on that contract, and the main reason he did that was because Bret's stardom was fading a little bit and he wasnt the big draw that he once was.

If you've been a fan of wrestling, there won't be a lot of new revelations here. I think the new scandals sort of made this a point where they needed to stop, get this out, and hold off for a second installment with all of the new revelations (of course, all depending on how that goes). I also expected this to hammer on the fact that he is not with the company any longer, especially as it transitions into taking more WWE on the platform beginning in January. The last episode sort of wrapped quickly and unexpectedly, probably because of all the new crap he is in.

Bret's loogie to Vince's eye and subsequent backstage beatdown will always be legendary.

Also, The Ultimate Warrior or GTFO!

*Damn typo.

The Ultimate Warrior and Sting were the two best characters of all time.

Hogan and some of the other old guys saying Vince had them wrestling 7-nights a week.

How?

They were on the road but local shows 7-nights a week seems exaggerated.

Wild that the MSM took it so seriously. Nowadays none of this would blip the radar. Pre-internet this was all they had.

I also wondered this. The only thing I can think of is them practicing everyday that wasn't a show

Wrestle in the evening, board a bus that drives you to the next city while you sleep, wrestle again the next night. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Based on Jim Cornette's stories, the wrestlers typically drove themselves or carpooled.

I've heard some good stories from him and others about heels needing police protection going to and from the parking lot at venues in Mid-South. I got to see this firsthand in Beaumont when I was a kid. After a card at the civic center, some dude who looked pretty sauced reached into the open window of a car driving through the lot. All of a sudden, Buddy Landell, Hercules Hernandez, and Steve Williams got out and destroyed that poor schmuck. The cops got there right when they drove off and hauled the guy in.
