I gotta say, I am loving that we are getting a Marvel Disney Plus show that is actually improving week over week, and is the least expensive of all the recent shows. I know there was a shift recently that included the new Daredevil show to really focus on the show itself, and now the over arching grandeur of the MCU. I hope that this show is the beginning of that change because this last two eps, along with the end of Loki Season 2 are really getting my hopes up for a return to quality disney plus Marvel shows

next level storytelling with a great script

I am enjoying this show.

I know in the comics Death is in love with Deadpool. That could be hilarious played out in a movie.

And, yeah, this show is legit fun. The writing has been really good - especially with the last episode. A whole character arc told in one episode with the time jumps was done really well.

Pretty weird structure. 8 was the finale, 9 was kinda explanation. It's almost like it sets up for something but we REALLY know the MCU doesn't have concrete plans for these characters so that kinda sucks. Gotta hope that Vision show actually happens and ends the WandaVision trilogy.

Also, as the father of a one year old son, those scenes with Nicolas were a little tough.

I will give them this. They did not give Agatha the Loki hero treatment. She just sucks

Yep. Episode 8 was the finale while episode 9 was the epilogue.

Super weird ending. Felt like the beginning of episode 9 could have been place better, especially the first part showing the relationship between Agatha and her son. Understand the last part was important to keep the real meaning behind the road til the end for the reveal.

Also, still confused why Agatha basically decided to take herself out in a split second decision. She told Billy it was some type of gamble she wanted to take, but what's the payoff in being a ghost? Makes no sense. You build up this character to all be about herself and her taking other people's power to just give it away at the end because someone talks in her head.

It's the unfortunate MCU thing of "if Vision Quest doesn't happen, that finale sucked. If it does, maybe it'll retroactively be good(?)". With no real ETA on the follow-up - for any of these characters - it's just kind of… weird.

I really enjoyed the first two, gonna watch next two tomorrow

So what didn't track for me...

Is what happened with her son. She kept talking about how terrible what she did was, how she couldn't bear to see him, etc., but it seemed like she did everything possible to protect him until he was taken from her. It felt like there was a piece of the story missing there.

Billy's feelings toward Agatha also seemed to flip pretty quickly, he was pretty fed up with her just a few scenes before. She did help him escape The Road, but that seemed pretty selfishly motivated.

Agree with this. I thought the last couple episodes were actually the weakest. But, still, I really enjoyed the show overall. Much better than a lot of the other marvel shows.
