Pretty different movies. For EEAAO, the plot was way too convoluted and absurd to the point that it lost me.

This movie lost me at times but for kind of the opposite. There seems to be almost no plot for huge stretches of the movie. People act weird, things just kind of happen, and some abstract imagery happens that has no relevance to anything and is never explained.

Overall I would say the last hour of this movie is where it actually got a little more interesting for me, whereas the opposite occured with EEAAO.

Both are movies I'll never watch again though.

This thing was...interesting.

It was a social commentary, but so disjointed and nonsensical at times I'm still struggling to figure out what the point of it all even was.

I feel like I just went on a 2-hour acid trip.

Thanks for the comparison. I understand your points, which is interesting since I've seen neither. Likely won't either.

Still haven't gotten around to Tenet because of the same fear. Spending three hours on something I don't understand

Now that I've had time to ponder...

There were some jarring cuts and what appeared to me to be very creative editing to try to make whatever was filmed make a bit more sense.

I still can't put my finger on the weirdness of the timeline.

We are riding around in 2024 Escalades but the news reporters are taking pictures with 1930s-era flashbulb cameras. Some other people are taking pictures with SLRs.

The circus producer people were using modern computers, flat screen displays, USB drives and laptops but no one had cell phones.

The buildings look modern but the people are mostly wearing Roaring 20s inspired clothing.

It was all so flipping...odd.

Nancy Drew and her friend in the birth certificate warehouse sorting through what should have been millions of paper birth certificates to immediately find the original one on the virgin girl...from Indonesia.

Get shot in the face? It's okay we'll just have you scream "no no no" over and over again and have your face glow until it grows back. But not before you trip balls and have a nonsensical psychedelic experience just for the sake of having a psychedelic experience.

You know what? Now that I'm typing this I see where this movie came from. FFC was tripping balls and this is what he saw. Dude wrote this movie on acid.

Then we get Jon Voight and the the tiniest little cupid bow and arrow.

I'm considering this a sequel to The Room until proven otherwise, good lord that dialogue.
Can we prove they are not in the same universe? Now that would be awesome.

This was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. I liked it personally (it's kind of sitting with me in a similar way to The Tree of Life) but I could definitely see why others would think it was awful. It's worth seeing if only for the visual experience IMO.

5.0 on IMDB currently. That is pretty damn bad.

Will pass. I've had enough overt wokism thrown at me from media.
