I'm still watching and like the show. Something seems a little off, as it's not quite as good as I was expecting, but I still find the sisterhood storyline pretty compelling.

I also think the flashback plot is stronger than the main plot but as someone who is relatively new to the Dune universe I am still enjoying the show and eager to see where it goes.
I really thought HBO was getting back to it's roots with 2 gratuitous sex scenes in as many episodes but was disappointed that there was actually some plot element there.
Yes it is a key plot and character development scene.GIF Reactor said:Does episode 3 have a sec scene?WES2006AG said:

I'm dissatisfied with the Bene Geserit evolution. They don't go into the actual training of becoming a truth sayer. All they do is touch their fingers together?
And Valya just magically discovers she has the Voice?
The ability to smell people's emotions, and reading them in other ways. The art of seduction. The ability to kill someone by 100 different ways without the use of weapons.
It's all so assuming without explaining why these women are badasses. Just a bunch of political drama so far and I think the show kind of sucks.

She just couldn't give up on Lidia as she considered her a daughter. She is breaking all kinds of rules saving her and also feels guilty for pushing her into the Agony trial before she was ready. The Blue Goose said:
I'm still watching too, but it's just not really a fun show to watch. No humor, no real action, no one to root for, lots of people to dislike. Cool premise, neat sets, interesting lore, but not fun. At least they had some gratuitous sex in a couple episodes.
Also, what would cause Tula to hear the prophecy "The reckoning comes when someone is born once in blood and once in spice", then basically the next day bring someone back to life by pumping spice into their veins. What could go wrong???
