Interstellar was re-released today FYI.
In IMAX Digital at many locations for a limited time. Also a 70mm release at 8 select theaters in the US.

Would love to see it at a theater again, but I am not driving to Dallas to do so.
Just watched it tonight for the first time because of this thread. Incredible.
Maybe it was asked and answered already in this thread, and I missed it, but is there a plan for how long this will be back in the theaters?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't see it available in the B/CS movie theaters.

Its only in select IMAX theaters. We're driving an hour down to Denver. The IMAX screen up here isn't playing it along with the two screens in the north Denver suburbs.

I drove from Houston to Austin today to see it at the Bullock museum IMAX. Standing in line now.
This was a great re-release. Worth every bit of the drive. Definitely one of those movies that is hands down better in IMAX

Watched it in 70mm on Friday in Dallas. We were in the front row since most tickets were sold out when they went on sale. Such a cool experience, 10/10
Took my 12yr old son last night for this while we dodged wicked with the girls. His mom tried to talk me out of it as too serious, too complicated, etc. Nope. He really liked it and loved the A/V. I'm sure he didn't understand all of it (not sure I even do), but a great movie to get some different ideas into his head.
I've probably seen it 10 times and every time I see it I pick up something new. The dialogue is sometimes hard to hear or quick witted that it's hard to follow the first time.Quote:

For example, near the end when Cooper is attempting to dock with the spinning Endurance, CASE makes a seemingly out of place remark "Cooper, this is no time for caution." 2:55 below
However, earlier in the movie when landing on Miller's planet, CASE attempted to get Cooper to slow down: "A little caution would go..." when Cooper interrupts "get you killed just like reckless driving." 1:40 below
I think CASE was referring back to that experience. They had one shot at docking and using caution would get them killed.

Looks like this has been such a hit they added another week. Can confirm additional showings in additional theaters in Colorado this weekend.
Yeah, same here in LA. It's now playing through next Wednesday, then finally giving up IMAX theaters to Mufasa next Thursday.

This post confuses me. The IMAX showings in Boise haven't had any sold out showings thus far that I've seen, including the original expected release (through today). Very full, yes, but sold out? Im sure some have been, but certainly not close to all of them. With the extension of the availability, that's obviously even less the case. Did I miss something in the interpretation of that tweet...?
I guess Film Updates either has the wrong info, or are only counting certain IMAX theaters, I'm not sure.

That would make a lot more sense, probably right.
I just looked it up and there were only 30 theaters showing Oppenheimer in 70mm IMAX, while there are only 219 IMAX theaters in the U.S., and 1772 total worldwide. Way less than I was expecting.
Interstellar is a cinematic masterpiece of the SciFi genre. History will continue to increase its standing among the best movies of the last 50 years.
