Loved it. Found it entertaining mostly all the way through. A worthy sequel.

$95M opening weekend being projected.
They could have kept Dafoe I think and just had him and his dead cop team chasing down Beetlejuice for breaking the law regarding bringing live people into the afterlife, sort of a dead version of TLJ from The Fugitive.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Couldn't agree more on both of those points.
And I feel the same about Dafoe's character. Though admittedly I did laugh that every time he showed up on screen his assistant handed him a coffee.

Agree, O'Hara was by far the best part of the movie imo.
My theater laughed at almost everything she did and said.

Not true. Beetlejuice telling the kid when stamping his passport "You're Sheet out of luck, bye F'cker " will be repeated by kids I'm sure over and over. My wife is a school teacher and wanted to see this because all her 3rd and 4th graders were talkin about it. Watching it I felt terrible those kids watched this crap. That baby beetlejuice was gross, both scenes.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Perfectly fine for kids.
In fact, another one of my complaints is that the Beetlejuice character felt a lot tamer this time around. Pretty much no cursing or any sexual innuendos at all.
A pretty deep dive but maybe he's referring to the former Florida Secretary of State that had a prominent role in the 2000 presidential election controversy. Was she in this movie?Brian Earl Spilner said:
No idea who Katherine Harris is, but Catherine O'Hara is easily the best part of this movie.
