I agree - the firefighters were good at comps but it was a matter of them simply getting somewhere. I guess the routing software in their firetrucks didnt do them any favors. I thought they might have 1 or 2 more rounds in them.

Can't believe Mom and Son are still in it. One physical comp or one comp where they can't get assistance from another team and they are done. She is an absolute liability.

Vinny is an a$$. How long have they been together? Perhaps they have never been in a situation like this together and cracks in their relationship are being both exposed and subsequently amplified. One more meltdown from her and they are done...

If nothing else, Cesar and Ricky are incredibly consistent. They should be viewed as the number 1 threat to win it all.

Yvonne and Melissa might be next but a physical comp could knock out Mom and Son and a mental breakdown from Amber could knock out her and Vinny. Those are my top three candidates for next week...

One thing this season has taught me is navigating skills are a hair more important than physical. Not saying be as bad as the mom is but if she was even decent in the physical stuff they'd be dominating. This is proven on the flip side by the firefighters who do pretty good in their challenges but are always lost and it burned them.

Also, if you show up to the Amazing Race and didn't take time to learn to drive a standard you deserve to lose.

The pilots did what they had to do..... dominating a physical challenge and going from last to 2d.... Good Job! Hopefully, they can stay out of theire own way and overtake the gay dudes.

The lesbians are gaining some momentum.
The football player and his wife are hanging on.
The gay kid and his Mom lasted about as long as they could. Probably should have been gone a few legs ago.

Yeah, that was bizarre! I'd never seen anything like that before and it absolutely killed that team. I question why the team was penalized because their crew got separated. There were certainly enough cameras to film the challenge so why make them wait? Then, you could hold up the team for the next road trip if the crew hadn't caught up by then.

I would think that there are legal and safety reasons for it.

I read an article this morning that their crew never got back with them. The show made it seem like their crew finally got back with them but it was another crew that came for them. The contestants had been told that if they got separated from their crew and knew where they were going, to go to the next stop and wait for their crew to catch up. Also, the crew drivers were locals and not production workers. But the interview with the guy and mom did not make it seem that they were bitter about it. Said that they had to wait 45-50 minutes for a crew to come.

Watched an episode recently after not watching for many years. Was the episode where they played bubble soccer and identified cuts of meat.

Was surprised that the teams helped each other so much.

Because of this, Danny and his mom will be back.

Other teams may think about keeping Mom and boy around because they could definitely beat them in a foot race.

The gay dudes are on fire. Only 1st & 2d places. They're good at everything..... even baseball.... who would have thunk..... they're probably going to win. I still think that they had an unfair advantage in that most of the season was in Spanish speaking South America.

The fight will be for 2d place:

Fighter Pilots- Really? Out of shape AF Pilots.... go figure. I guess playing volleyball and golf for PT doesn't quite cut it. They let that little fat butted wife of the football player beat them in a foot race. Still, if they keep focused, they may have a chance to beat the gay dudes.

Pink Team- Seems like they are doing better, but she is just one wrong turn from going ape sh@@ on him. And he is just one whiny comment away from throwing her out of the tuk tuk. But, if everything goes smoothly, they have a chance. Regardless, she's going to dump him as soon as the show is over.

Football Team- the wife kicked a@@ on this leg. She was fully engaged, encouraging and motivated. She ran her butt off to beat the pilots. You can tell that the two of them actually like each other. He definitely thinks his abilities are better than they actually are. I don't think they're going to make the final 3. They are just not as strong as the other teams, but they did run in 2d this leg.

Lesbians- they were the 5th best team on this leg and deserved to be eliminated.

This season's roadblocks and detours have fun to watch.

Walla Walla losing their production team in Barbados...still seems wrong. Guess they could have made sure not to take quick lane changes or go a little slower to make sure they other car stayed behind them. Hope the producers learned a lesson. Would love to see a "behind the scenes" documentary on all the logistics and challenges they face.

Strange to see 3 roadblocks and no detours on this last leg.

Ricky and Cesar are as consistent and dominant as any team in TAR history, but can they do the same on the last 2 legs?

What was funny was at the puzzle challenge in the water, there were 2 groups of two teams working together. But when the gay dude solved it, he left the lesbian in the dust. Then when the Air Force guy solved, he left the football guy in the dust. The beaten down girl had to work on her own. That challenge was the difference in race.

I guess the best team won: The gay dudes. They seemed to be good at everything and ran 1st / 2d the whole race. I do call a little BS that they had an unfair advantage: most of the race was in Spanish speaking countries and the final leg was in their hometown. I would think that the producers could do a better job with that in the future.

The married couple were cute; him kissing her neck while she was making drinks. He is obviously an athlete w/ CTE and she is smarter than she looks. They were both patient with each other throughout the race. She could be a beast at the roadblocks when she wanted to be. A good team and fun to watch.

The pilots were a mess this leg. They should have done better, but that's what competition is all about. Obviously they were good friends that could laugh at each other and the situation.

The pink guy asking her to marry him when they lost..... I didn't see that one coming. I figured that she would dump his a@@ as soon as the race was over..... she may still.

A good season. . The winning team led wire to wire.

The pilots could've won if they wouldn't have went to NJ but they deserved to lose with that bad of a mistake on an obvious clue.

Also looks like the engaged couple is still together which is mind blowing.

Agreed that the winners got super lucky with the Spanish and it being in their home town at the end. I think they would've been a good team but not nearly as dominant.

I missed a ton of seasons of this show but did they have the most dominant performance of all time on the show?

It cracked me up at the end when they did a really bad cut with Phil saying you are the winners of Amazing Race…..and cut him off before he said 35.

That was hilarious. Also the bad inserts of "One Key Cash" prizes for each leg's first place winners because I don't think that existed way back then. They would always cut away from his mouth when he said it.

For a season that had some pretty unique and challenging tasks...that last episode was pretty lame. Didn't even have the difficult memory test at the end....I guess the memorization of the Preamble replaced it. Was pretty cool to see Pat and Geno's and the Betsy Ross House, both of which I visited last summer.

Pilots really screwed up...everyone knows Pat and Geno's is cheesesteaks, not sure why the F that security guard told them pizza.

Overall not a bad season and I enjoyed the focus on Latin America but it will be good to get back to a normal race with season 37.
