I dunno. You can't make them the kids without having Hunt appear in the film, and Chung has said he wanted this one to stand on its own. I thought the Dorothy V was a great nod. Selfishly, I'd have loved to have seen them blaring the soundtrack to Oklahoma! or give a reference to "the suck zone" or even Paxton's legendary "It's already here" line.AJ02 said:
I know people don't really like when they throw in "connections" to the original movie. But seems like they were all the right age for at least one of them to be the offspring of Helen Hunt/Bill Paxton from the first movie. Maybe it would've had me more emotionally invested in them. But I just didn't feel this movie like I did the first one.
I'm not asking for a cameo, but some tie of the old guard to the new guard.
