Lot's of starpower among the D Boys in Black Hawk Down -- Hulk, Jaime Lannister, Richard Tyson

Did you also just re-watch Zero Dark Thirty because I literally did that last night, and I co-sign this post.

Thanks. I am looking for my next series. Just finished The Tourist and am blowing through some mindless comedy for a change of pace (Brooklyn 99).

River is in the queue, after Masters of Air and True Detective.

Most of my go-to answers have already been said so here's a couple other ones that tend to grab my attention whenever they are on screen:

-Alfred Molina
-Michael Madsen
-Catherine Keener (maybe a little too well known for this category)
-Paul Bettany
-Chris Eigeman
-Charlotte Gainsbourg

Contact, The Hurt Locker, Green Mile, Treme, and countless bit parts in more shows than you can you imagine. He can play an a-hole, a nice guy, the hero, the villain. Sometimes he's the lead, and sometimes he's just a guy. And if you ever want to binge a good show that was cancelled too soon, you should give "Hack" a try. Great show.
Add 'World War Z'
Subtract True Detective Season 2.
He was so damn cringey in that. Although, to be fair, maybe he nailed that role? He was a new age west coast hippie cult leader who thought he was "enlightened" after all. Everything about that type of person would be cringe.
He and Vince Vaughn were just comically bad casting choices. And the dialogue... It could have been humorous if not for being so tragically bad. Will never understand any defense of this season.

LOL agreed. Had me a bit apoplectic myself, at times.

John Cazale.

Fredo - Godfather I & II
Dog Day Afternoon
Deer Hunter

Brought something to every single role he did. Was he too big a star?

And Entourage!

Also showed his comedy chops as a regular on "Mom."

Regarding Fichtner, to me he looks like a 65 year-old Jeremy Allen White...would be cool to see him in The Bear in a flashback as his father.

He also gave us the greatest c-block scene in movie history.

I love how he slides into the scene, glances at her chest mid line, then eyeballs Affleck's character like "Had to shoot my shot, bud"

Yes.

Has he been in those Marvel movies?

I just know mentioning him on sub reddits, he doesn't have a huge following. He is basically know for Fight Club and American History X.

Nothing in the last 20 years or so.

Strictly speaking he was the original Hulk in the MCU movies.

I get what you're saying but he's definitely a big name.

Norton is absolutely too big of a name to put on this thread. In fact, reading through this thread about a third of the names I've seen mentioned fall in the same boat (imo).

Thank you.

I don't tend to watch a lot movies that aren't on the Hallmark channel.

I just know he hasn't been in anything I have seen in 10 years.

Primal Fear is my favorite movie of his.

And it has been almost 30 years.

I guess that is why I don't think he is a big name versus about 40 other actors

Tommy Flanagan

Sean Miller in Patriot Games

Alec Trevelyan in Goldeneye

And it was a shame he was exposed as a weak link in Ronin. Would have loved to have him continue on the team.
