I respect your list, but the average person isn't sitting through Akira.

Best pre cgi animation of all time IMO, but the second half of the movie is definitely out there.

Lion King and Toy Story both come to mind first.

Not to derail, but…if we were talking about scenes from animated movies, this masterpiece would have to be it. This has to be one of the most compelling 4-minute scenes in cinema period, animated or otherwise.

Coco

I saw Coco not long after the birth of my daughter and it hit me like a ton of bricks, it's my favorite Pixar movie and maybe my favorite animated film of all time. I'm not Latino but that movie really resonated with me and also taught me a lot. If anyone out there hasn't seen it I highly recommend, I love that film. I can't think of any animated films off the top of my head that I hold in the same regard.

Honorable mention: Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

"Poco Loco" is my all-time favorite original song from an animated movie. Absolute banger.

Coco - stunning visually and incredibly moving.

Toy Story 2 - Woody discovering the round-up gang, the quest of the toys to go save Woody, the jokes and action sequence at the end make this one a masterpiece. The animation and voice work are all amazing.

Wall-E - I took my nephew to this when he was around 9 and I wondered if he'd be bored because there were such long scenes with no dialogue, etc. He turned to me at the end and said "I LOVED that". Totally rapt at the animation and the message. A beautiful movie.
