Some of that sounds great, but we all know damn well where this is going...

Honestly, Agatha All Along was the perfect villain/ending for that show. It's not the show's fault that podcasts and youtubers and audiences went off the deep end with expectations.

I was in the camp of hating that twist…..the song was hilarious but the character twist wasn't necessary at all….

The show already had a villain and it was Wanda….which was proven in DrS 2…..should've just gone all in on Wanda's obsession with having a family and coping with her dreams of having one and the chaos she's causing with those around her…..

I see what you're saying, and I agree that Wanda really was the villain. But we also knew there was stuff going on that wasn't Wanda's doing and the internet built it up into some massive expectation. Agatha was a totally fine twist for the context of the show.

Now, if you want to say the show could have eliminated that secondary element all together, I also think that's reasonable.

It's too much to summarize. Even if you don't have a Twitter/X account, you can still click on the tweet, it'll load in your browser, and then just follow the thread by scrolling down. It's basically like a blog post, just presented across a number of tweets from the same person.

Been catching up and I like a lot of people, have no idea what's going on but am really enjoying this season. I love the set design and look - and the performances and the chemistry between Hiddleston and Wilson are so fun and engaging. But I am pretty over the multiverse, timeline stuff. It's just too muddled.

My hot take though - and I'd like to know if I'm the only one - is that I think Jonathan Majors is awful. I'm not just saying that now because he's this close to being canceled and seems like a sociopath in real life... I think he's just not a good actor - and I've found just about all his roles as Kang to be over the top and annoying. He's cartoonish, and this version might be the worst.

His normal Kang - I just don't see what everyone else seemed to see when they were raving about him in season 1 and Quantumania. He sounds like a cheesy, community theater actor trying to do iambic pentameter. And again, I've always scratched my head at the raving over him. I mean people were anointing him a few years ago as the next big thing in Hollywood and how much of a homerun Marvel was hitting hiring him as the new Big Bad... and all I could think was - The dude in that awful Lovecraft Country show??

I haven't seen Creed 3 or The Last Black Man in San Francisco, so maybe there is some good stuff I'm missing... but all I can think is it wouldn't be the worst thing if they had to recast.

Not trying to be negative or detract from the discussion on the show. I also really like Miss Minutes so now its balanced.

I'm with you on Majors. Never thought he was anything special.

Sometimes I wonder if studios hire a new-ish actor with some sort of multi film deal and just start promoting the hell out of them in order to drum up interest in whatever movies are coming.

I did think he was an interesting He Who Remains, and probably liked his acting for that more than Kang in Antman. I am not a fan whatsoever of Timely
The Porkchop Express

I really like Majors. He's played 3 turns of the same character pretty interestingly. Timely, IMO, is an act. Something to throw people off what he really is. He Who Remains in the final episode of Season 1 of Loki was very impressive.

Bingo. I also think the stuttering is an act and everything that's happened has been part of his plan. Majors is killing it. Love what he's doing.

I enjoyed majors in S1. I don't like this iterate of Kang, but I don't think we'll see stuttering Timely again.

On another note, I think Ke Huy Quan as OB was perfect casting and a perfect new character for this show. I enjoy every scene he's in.

Ok just got through this episode.

First, whoa.

Second, and I could be completely off base, but in the mezzanine to the outside where OB has all the equipment. In the background, when Loki is talking to Sylvie where he drops the "we are Gods" line, there is a label above all the monitors. It says PIES, probably an acronym for something.

I thought at first it was just a gag because Mobius loves pie, but they moved to another section and it said PIES as well.

Perhaps there's a reason Mobius loves pie, a subconscious thing. Or maybe even he has something behind all of this

The pies are also all Key Lime pies, which I have thought was interesting. I'd love for there to be a bigger reason for all the pie stuff.

Those aren't monitors. They are actual pies on display for folks to eat

Mobius and Loki had a slice there earlier in the season

lol. It's just the cafeteria they found to eat a slice of pie in earlier in the season. Thank you for the Sunday night sensible chuckle, though.

I thought Majors was brilliant as He Who Remains. Like, to the point where I was even more excited for Kang than I was for Thanos. But now? Yeah, his Victor Timely is just way too schticky, with all the stuttering and what not, and Majors is just being way too actory for my taste in general. You can feel him really going for it in a way that over-the-top actors sometimes do, and it's just more annoying to me than anything.

It's nothing compared to The Last Black Man in San Francisco, though. Basically, imagine Victor Timely crossed with Forest Gump. I know certain people love that movie, and what Majors does in it, but man, I kind of sort of hated it, and thought he was terrible in it.

That said, I actually really liked him in Creed 3. He's legit intimidating, and has kind of a subtly scary Tom Hardy thing going that's really effective. Turns out, that version might be the one closest to him in real life.

In S1, they hang out there and eat pie from one of the little doors too. Automats are food vending areas.

2 episodes left and a completely clean slate to work with. No way Disney botches this season finale right?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I feel decently confident that they won't botch the ending. Will it all the sudden make everything right in the Marvel universe? No. But I expect it to be dramatic, visually amazing and have significant impact on where Marvel is going with things (much like the end of season 1). So I will sit back and just enjoy it. So far their set designs and production have been incredible regardless of whether you like the plot or not. But I do half expect to see Timely pull an Edward Norton, drop the studder and turn evil moment. The whole thing is setting up to be a whole "did this all occur just to get back to where it all started anyway" loop or something that finally breaks the loop.

You are going to jinx it aren't you?

I have not faith in Marvel to not botch it, but I do have hope.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think the schtickiness is intentional. Remember, Timely is a huckster and a bit of an actor himself.
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Could be interesting if they actually go with that angle.
ABATTBQ11
How long do you want to ignore this user?
They could. Notice, Timely was on the sacred timeline as a kid, but a variant at the world's fair. He Who Remains probably kept this as the sacred timeline because this version of him didn't have the resources to develop the technology to oppose him. It's doubtful he even comes up with the ideas on his own, which is why He Who Remains has then give him the handbook.

Alternatively, Miss Minutes came up with the idea on her own to replace He Who Remains and she's the ultimate villain of the series.

Either way, I think the whole thing is stupid. Everything could have been avoided if they'd taken Renslayer when they had her beat in the workshop and kept Miss Minutes locked away on the tempad that Timely turned her off in. I mean these people are trying to kill you and they can travel through time and space at will with Admin access to your base, and you just let them go? Everything after that is just conveniently set up.
Ornithopter
How long do you want to ignore this user?
My money is on Kang coming back, but as a variant who is not played by Jonathan Majors so they can move on with the recasting.

There could not be an easier opportunity to fix the problem with Majors personal life.

Majors' trial is finally set for November 29th. If he's found guilty, he's done and they'll recast. If he beats the charges, he'll return as Kang. That seems to be the consensus, at least. With the actors' strike hopefully ending soon, production will then ramp up again later this year/early next, so all of this should be sorted out here in the next couple of months, and the MCU can finally move forward with a concrete plan/schedule for the first time in forever.

All this begs the question: Who should they recast as Kang?

Hear me out. Jason Bateman.

For the first time in forever
Marvel has got a plan
For the first time in forever
Kang will be our leading man

We can put all these charges behind us
We don't have to live in fear
'Cause for the first time in forever
The Avengers will assemble here
