I enjoy the Danish NSO renditions of cinema scores, like the one below and James Bond films. I used to do math homework to Holst's The Planets, I think it was one of the London symphony's versions from the 80's. Need to search thru Apple's Classical Music app to see if I can find it. They listen to playlists that are about an hour of representative works for 50 composers (for the top prize level). I'm so glad that my kids get exposed to it and love it. I grew up with musician parents, so it has always been a part of my life. We need to keep passing it on and not let it get lost in the BS bubble-gum TikTok crap.

It isn't that list, but here's a link to NPR's top 50 classical recordings. I don't agree with the positions they take politically, but the music is a good listen quite frequently.

In the 80's I used to listen to NPR quite a bit and really expanded my exposure to classical music. I would write down songs I heard and try to get as much info as possible about them. At one point, they made available a pamphlet of top classical recordings which I got a copy of. I'll look for it tomorrow to provide more information on it.
