Jay: See, all these movies take place in this small town called Shermer, Illinois, where the honeys are top-shelf, but all the dudes are whiny *******--[Bob gestures to him]--except for Judd Nelson; he was ****ing harsh. Bespin has a permanent Imperial garrison. Would not recommend.

I thought about this one, also, and it is allowed since the movie version is fictional vs the real version. However, the place was at the dawn of commercialization during the mid 80s. The developers had their eyes on it and development plans drawn up. Magic treasure ships not withstanding, fictional Astoria probably looks like Austin, TX today.
