Anyone notice the intro song sounding very similar to Westworld's intro theme? Especially at the 1:15 mark.

I absolutely thought that, too!

Same. My wife even looked over and said "that's very west world esque " when we watched .

Who was that fighting Marnes? I couldn't tell. Is it someone we don't know yet?

Not sure but based off how he was dressed, I'm guessing he is judicial

I love how Common's character apparently goes to a different tailor than the rest of the cast.

Common's character is my favorite, now that the Sheriff decided to leave...

I once peed next to Common at movie theater urinal. I was to his left, while the guy at the urinal to his right, mid-pee, attempted to tell him that he and his wife conceived their kid after one of his concerts. Common was not amused.

I'm a book reader and not watching it yet but reading all the guesses is delightful! Enjoy the ride. I would be on a full boycott of googling anything wool or silo if you want to avoid spoilers.

Good episode after I thought the previous one dropped off a bit.

You could see what was coming for the aspiring shadow from a mile away but still entertaining TV.

Did they already divulge the meaning of the pez dispenser and I just forgot or is that TBD?

I loved the books. But read them so long ago I have forgotten most of the finer details.

Why does it feel like Common is acting for this role the same way he did for that Microsoft AI commercial?

Like an elevator? Or at least a dumbwaiter or pully to move stuff up & down?

Ha they at least tried to address this

Finally caught up with the last two episodes.

Has any series ever killed off as many of its main cast in its first five episodes? I get that there's source material here, but it's still so weird to see, and makes the show already feel like a shell of its former self (that, and Common's acting increasingly sticks out like a sore thumb when he's one of the last men standing).

That said, while the past couple episodes have been a bit monotonous, and have felt a little more "TV" than previous entires, the episode six ending was great, and I'm still super interested to see where all of this goes. At least it looks like things are about to pick up again.

Ya the 6th episode was good. Finally we got a peak behind the janitors door. Definitely looks like Sim is the main bad guy but I am expecting something bigger to get revealed

Interesting premise but this show seems very slow getting there… somewhere. Without spoilers from book readers, is it worth hanging in?

Just caught up. While I do really like some of the characters that have been killed off (at least presumably, in some cases) and miss them as a result, I'm still really enjoying the show. I thought this past episode made the deputy a lot more likable, and am excited to see his development going forward, as well as his relationship with Juliette. We have 4 more episodes left and I don't expect every major question to get resolved this season. I think the pace has generally been appropriate as a result, and I've really enjoyed the story they've told to this point. Not everything has to rush to the finish.

Despite tonight's episode being the third in a row made up almost entirely of two people having conversations in rooms, they did a good job of building the intrigue and ratcheting up the tension.

Also, next week's episode (8) sounds particularly significant...

"New information causes Juliette to see her family's past differently - and she finally gains access to some of the silo's biggest secrets."

We're still enjoying it, but yeah, it's definitely more of an expository show. There's some stuff that happens, but there's far more talking about stuff that happened.

Running joke I started in our family ever since Smokin' Aces: "If Common's in it, you know it's good."

On episode 3. Enjoying it thus far, so will see it through.

Funny how the coolest guy in the Silo goes in and out of the janitor's closet multiple times a day.
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?

So are we thinking Common is actually above the Judge in some way - or - does he have his own, rogue side gig/investigation going on? Because if he's above the Judge, my guess would be that he truly is a bad guy. But if the whole janitor's closet thing is a rogue operation, I could see there being a twist, and him ultimately being a good guy, also trying to get to the truth.

I get the sense that he's (or his department/group) above the judge given how she reacted. I think she had a tear rolling down her face when Nichols really pressed her. She looked scared.

So if that's the case, is his group part of Judicial, or is it something altogether different?
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
Yeah, the obvious read is that the Judge fears Common/whatever group he's a part of, he's a bad dude, and his janitor's closet operation is either part of Judicial or part of something worse. Either way, he's above her.

But I could also see that being a fake out, and that yes, the Judge fears a shadowy, higher-up group, but Common isn't actually a part of them, and instead his janitor's closet operation is his own, rogue operation/group trying to figure out the truth of the silo. Hence why he hasn't yet arrested Juliette.
