His solo "An Evening with Jason Isbell" tour kicked off tonight here in Berlin and we were able to catch it. He played 5-6 songs from the new album, and I think just based on those we're all in for a real treat when it gets released.

I've been lucky to see him quite a bit, although never without the band, but that was hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen. I've always known he was a crazy talented guitar player, but that kind of acoustic setting just exemplifies his abilities in ways his concerts with the 400 Unit cannot. If you can get a chance to see him in the solo format during this tour I cannot recommend it enough.
