Nathan had some serious resolve on this episode too - taking the hikers up the mountain, camping with them, coming up with all the riddles, and then ultimately telling them they wouldn't get the rebate after he bonded with them. And then this scene at the end of the episode had me in pain from laughing so hard.

I have to wonder how much of this show was inspired by the movie Synechdoche, New York. I don't remember a ton of details from that very strange film, but I see a lot of similarities in how Nathan is layering things.

Fianlly popped my cherry on this and good god I lost my sht. Freaking genius. Folks, this is about as dry as you can get for comedy. My wife thought WTF through the whole thing but said she loved it simply from the fact I couldn't breathe.

The birthday party with only background actors was hilarious. So was him recreating Remy's house and being his mom.

But man the real life stuff with Remy was brutal. I wonder if it was supposed to be some commentary on how child actors are treated in Hollywood? It was real to that kid.
