This looks pretty good! I'm reading book 5 now. I hope the show lives up to the novels.

I'm listening to In The Blood right now and so excited this is finally coming out!

The author Jack Carr is on one of the latest Rogan podcasts if you're interested.

I've thought about reading the books for a while... what do they compare to?

Just finished listening to In the Blood. Very good, Carr mentions on Danger Close podcast that he is working on Book 6.

Very good book series.

The newest one is solid but I don't care for the transition to the next one.

Two episodes in. Pretty good so far.

Would be nice if you could actually see what the hell's happening.

Film is a medium that is experienced completely by sight. So wouldn't it make sense to film it in enough light that you can actually see it?

I wish Hollywood would get away from this fascination with dark filming.

Just watched episodes 1 and 2. Came into this with no prior knowledge of the story or anything, so I didn't really know what to expect…and wow. What a start. Definitely needed to roll right into episode 2, because even though I probably needed to go to sleep, I was not going to sleep after episode 1. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Just had exact same thing happen to me. Awesome start!!

Well freaking Aggies show up in an episode, but it was in giving up a TD to Bama

Not sure I needed to put spoiler tags on there but did anyways. Scene from episode four.

3 in….pretty good

4 was the best so far but having to go to bed now.

Well…. It's 3:30am and I just binge watched the entire season. Never have I done that with a show. I'm sure ex military people will say how ridiculous and unrealistic and yada yada yada. But I personally thought it was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Just my two cents! Drama, Politics, Revenge, Media, and plenty of scenes that will leave you speechless!

Couldn't get into this at all. I think I'm over Chris Pratt. The writing and dialogue is so bad. I felt like the first episode was everyone running around calling each other "brother" way too much.

I wish that I hadn't read the book before watching. It's fine but I doubt I recommend it.

Watching a couple more episodes this morning. I don't understand why they changed the plot progression so much from the book. It actually makes it harder to follow.

And way too many flashbacks and not enough explanation of the various new characters that are introduced.

I think it's good and Chris Pratt is great but timing is odd.

Reacher came out January or February didn't it? 6 months seems like enough padding.

I said this in the other thread but I watched the first 2. The first half of the first one was really boring and over cliched operator terms (no offense to those who could kill ke with ease)

At the end of the first episode it took a turn in a good way.

Yea I've never read the books so obviously I can't speak to that. Just be prepared. After the first 2 episodes I was 100% thinking it was going to have some anti-war/anti-gun/PTSD plot….. by episode 4- let's just say you better prepare yourself for some…. Crazy ness. I thought I had it figured out by episode 3….

Very good. It's a multi-verse of really bad people engaged in really bad stuff. Chris Pratt probably isn't the best actor for this role. It needs more complexity.

I am almost done with the 2nd read of the book in anticipation of the show. I watched the first 2 episodes and was pretty disappointed. It's a good show, but as a fan of the series I don't like the changes they made. If you enjoy the show, definitely recommend the book/audiobook.

Had to stop watching midway through the 2nd episode.

This show is terrible.

Pratt should stick to comedy.

I made it through 6 ..I'm out. It doesn't even come close to being realistic and the story gets worse every episode.

Fantastic books.

I didn't know what to expect going in and treated it like an extended popcorn flick. From that standpoint it was fine and I enjoyed it.

but that last scene where Pratt just shows up (completely dry) on a boat in the middle of a bay in Peru was eye rolling for sure

He's great for the Parks and Rec/funny guy type role. Even the goofy/buff action hero (Star Lord). But he just doesn't quite cut it for super serious, complex action hero roles. I like the guy and he is fine in most stuff, but just isn't the right casting for many of these movies. It also doesn't help that many of these movies/series he does don't have great writing/plots (looking at you Tomorrow War)

I'm pulling for Pratt because he seems to be a guy everybody in Hollywood likes (except Anna Farris probably,) but he really seems like he's a little too wooden for these serious roles. I keep hearing Bert Macklin when he talks for this role.

Tomorrow War was dumb summer fare but I'd have happily paid to see it on big screen.

I haven't started the series so I can't comment on Pratts casting as of yet, but I found this clip where the author of the book says he had Pratt in mind as he was writing.
