The dude playing The Riddler was really, really good. I'd almost put his performance up there with Ledger's Joker.

I really enjoyed the movie, but one thing that kept throwing me off was a theme in the score. There was one particular two-note line they would play whenever Batman was walking into a room, and the interval between the notes was the same as the Imperial March from Star Wars. I kept expecting to see Darth Vader come around the corner.

Saw it Monday and thought it was Awesome!

>People will say not as good as Batman Begins. I think this has to be taken with a grain of salt; Batman Begins was the first GREAT raw Batman. It's like comparing the first 'great' in anything and comparing it to the new great. The original great always overshadows the second addition. Michael vs Lebron

> They did a really good job not revealing Robert's face until 40minutes into the movie, really built up he is Batman before Bruce Wayne. If they did this to build him up to get people off the Twilight thought, bravo

>Riddler did very well and what a cool 'twist' where Riddler actually think him and Batman share a common goal and Batman would empathize and accept the motives. Very deranged.

>Also found it interesting when Riddler finally revealed his 'motives' it portrayed him like a mass shooter hell bent because he was always cast aside. Got very columbine like vibes, sad reference i know

>Lastly, very cool how they set the stage at the end showing Batman saving people and Gotham realizing he is there to help.

We all know this was a terrible thread to start.

But yikes, no one is saying this isn't as good as Batman Begins. A fine movie for it's time, but Jesus.

It's the same interval as "Something in the Way" by Nirvana which was used in the film and one of the trailers. It's a 2 whole step drop (i.e. i to VI in a minor key). It's either E to C or F to Db, I don't remember. The imperial march uses the same interval on the first note change.

The score was one of my favorite things about this film! Loved the way they set the mood for each scene and incorporated the Nirvana song.

I didn't catch that. Nice.
