I can't remember their names, but during the canyoning. The one who wasn't participating went to the group of other players waiting, threw his bag on the ground ,and immediately started on "I'm going to be so pissed if we are eliminated because of this...."

BTW, we did canyoning in Interlaken, Switzerland. Amazing experience.

Oh yeah, I do remember that. I just took it as frustration, though,not being a butthole.

I still like Ryan and Dusty if for nothing more than it pisses off the flight attendants, the holderness', and the twins when they win. You don't like them winning try harder. The annoying part was when the Holderness' (or maybe flight attendants) i think said the only way we can beat them is if they screw up themselves, that proves you aren't that good of a team if they have to beat themselves for you to win.

Except that it turned out to be prophetic. And I don't think it was an out of lie statement to make. D and R are a strong team, and the Holderness's acknowledge it.

I think the race so far has really catered to the more athletic teams. There haven't been any really long, mentally difficult challenges that I can remember. The milk challenge is a perfect example of how easily they can fall back. They got lucky in that the other challenge was a couple minutes away and also only took about 10 minutes to complete. And maybe that's the way it'll all be this season because of Covid. But doing that normally could easily cost you hours, not 15 minutes.

I find it interesting that the flight attendants were making fun of Ryan and Dusty for having their shirts off when they took their life vests off (saying it was an excuse for showing off their muscles) when one of the flight attendants always wears stuff with her puppies about to fall out (not that I mind, just saying). Not to mention all the "girl power" crap.

What I thought was funny about that was the greeter guy was laughing at it too.

She is very smart and detailed oriented. He's very energetic and athletic.

I'm a fan of Dusty and Ryan and think if they are eliminated early would make the season less exciting and entertaining. I do think they need to practice their social game and was telling myself that when they caught up to the others at the hike.

When Phil showed the pit stop then canyoning, I knew Dusty and Ryan were going to catch up because it was physical. For the married educators it was obvious they were going to fall behind. Also, very poetic for them to be eliminated because of the husband who has been talking down to his wife in previous legs.

Not sure why one of the twins was so upset at the flight attendants. They don't need to wait for you to get out of the water and jog back. When the twin showed one of the flight attendants the yellow pass, she should have taken off after that. Not sure why she waited. Lastly, if you're going to tag along with another team, always make sure that you are in the lead.

I do agree with this because it will cost them. There is likely a U-Turn ahead and the twins and flight attendants especially (maybe the Holderness' too) might decide to team up and get one of them ahead of the guys to get to the U-Turn and play it on them to try and slow them down. @htxag - i wonder if some of that is a product of this season due to covid of them trying not (or allowed to) do too much in congested areas and more remote things. Just had to throw challenges together to get the race finished. Kind of how they ended up in Corsica with low population but things they can still do.

Unfortunately it feels like this season only has a few more weeks left since we are already down to 5 teams and they usually take 3 on the final leg. You can only do so many non-elimination legs. It just suck because it feels like the season just started, stupid Covid. At least they were able to restart it and complete the season. Just don't know what the future holds for AR, hopefully they can continue to do more seasons.

That's what I was thinking of was the U-Turn. I'm not sure if they will use it this season.

I'm over the father daughter and their, what, 5th second chance. I have as much of a chance of winning as them. They better have a speed bump or whatever next week.

Gonna be uncomfortable having the maggot larve crawling out of their butts the next few days…

I think it's dumb when they show 2 teams running to the pit stop and make it act like it's neck and neck but clearly it's edit. They're not fooling anyone.

I know everyone in the show thinks Ryan and Dusty are dangerous but the married couple may be better. Just because they're not loud doesn't mean they're not.

There were some assets on display this episode.

I like the father/daughter team but I hope they get nowhere near the final.

It's amusing when wrongly imprisoned guy refers to his time in prison as an asset i.e. maggot cheese is better than prison food. I really wouldn't mind if he won. His buddy needs to tone done the wooing just a smidge but kudos to him for sticking by his buddy when he was in jail.

Apparently the married couple has a recap podcast and on the last episode they said they did a ton of prep for the show (map reading class, learning country flags, running hills with heavy packs, etc.). I don't know why more contestants don't do this learn to swim, drive a stick, read a map, learn some basic words in a few key languages to help ask for/understand directions, etc. etc.

One of the things the wife said she did was make a spreadsheet of everyone who had been eliminated and why. I wonder how many times DID NOT READ THE CLUE showed up in the reason column. :-D

Dusty is not endearing himself to the fans with all of his showboating. Ryan did the same thing that I was thinking, get the first 5 and go. Good on him for figuring out what he needed the second time around.

The married couple (Holderness family) do a recap after every episode. Do yourself a favor and watch their "Thriller" parody "Libido Killer". Not race related but pretty dang funny, especially if you are 'ol married folk.

I find this season to be impossibly boring. I don't know if it's the pause, somewhat homogenous locations, boring players, etc.

I have NEVER felt this way about Amazing Race and watched every season. Feel like they should have just done a Family version in US like they did years ago.

Agree with the others on here calling it lite. Don't feel like there are many strong teams to make it competitive.

Happy the older couple won. They were probably my favorite from the start.

Not major, but a pet peeve of mine is when people say "this better not be why we lose." The whole point of the amazing race is to be well rounded and anything can trip you up. So you can't really lose on a "dumb" thing. Especially the flight attendants on the last challenge. Every season has had a challenge based on the fine details they've encountered throughout the season. Should've taken better notes after every challenge like the older couple.

I actually agree with you. Originally I thought the older couple was going to be a little too precious and camera-ready but they proved me wrong. By the end, as long as the bros didn't win I would be happy with anyone else. Backwards hat dude became increasingly more annoying every episode.

Oof, worst season of amazing race ever and prior wasn't much better. Hope next one is a big improvement.

The season overall was kind of meh. I get they did the best they could given the circumstances but between the stop where they lost multiple teams and the multiple (seemed more than usual but maybe not) non elimination legs and the final leg was just kind of boring as there wasn't alot of drama like it was any of the last 3 teams race. Boys fell behind early, and first and second stayed mostly the same and it felt like the old couple had the challenge won pretty quick when they had all but one right. They made the common mistake of changing the wrong items they had right but understandable given the heat of the moment. Just the way the season went never had a true "favorite team", they were all just "don't mind if they win but don't care if they don't either". There are usually a team or a couple of teams I really wanted to see win (could have been the Terrorist Train guys) but they couldn't come back so they were done early. I guess one of my favorite finale's was season 30 where all 3 teams were attempting to build a model plane right at the finish line and all 3 teams were right there to win.

Im guessing they had to add two extra non elimination legs because of the net-2 loss of teams returning. i think 4 didnt return and 2 that had been eliminated came back.

Think about the flight attendants plight. At several points during the last challenge they had only 1 wrong and did not make the right change. Soooooo close. I would be thinking about that for the rest of time if I was them.

I think the right team won. I wouldn't mind seeing them again if AR ever does another all-star/retuning players type season. Just to see how they do in a "real" season. I mentioned early that one of the things I liked about them is that they actually researched and prepared. Wonder how that would hold up in a normal type race against a normal sized field of racers.

One thing I I thought I noticed was on the door painting challenge. The boys' big miss was the doorknob not being painted. But when the dad/daughter got the okay/clue I swear it looked their door knob wasn't painted. It may just not have looked like it but it was in the bright blue section so I would think it would stand out.

As others have said, overall this was Amazing Race lite, but I was glad to have it back on my TV so it gets points for that.

Not me, if I had to hear how important it would be to be the 4th all female team to win the race...who cares!

This race wasn't really that physically hard, save for the rock /coin challenge and that was during a non elimination leg. The old couple had a good mix of athleticism and attention to detail. She was very sharp and very prepared. She was excellent at map reading and they worked very well together. They also trained physically and mentally.

Again, the obvious best team.

We noticed that too. We think it's because their doorknob was in the traditional spot and not a part of the immediate picture while the boys was center placed. I still thought that was questionable.
