If youve had a chance to watch, what did you think? I finished it, and was kind of disappointed. There are also no plans for a 4th season.

I thought it was much longer than it needed to be. They could have cut the whole Victor storyline.

I thought this season was a bit underwhelming. I liked the Victor character but his story line seemed to have a minimal impact on the season. I felt like they could have focused more on the conflicts between the plazas and the ending seemed like the creators were being lazy and rushed to get to a conclusion. In the end, these were hyper-violent criminals and they seemed to kind of gloss over that unlike in previous seasons. Why they are not doing a season 4 is baffling. Between el chapos escapes, the zetas brutality, and characters like La Barbie (from Laredo) it seems like that would be a good continuation of the series…

i agree with this. i liked the Victor story but it didn't need to be stretched for the whole season.

that said, i loved this season and blew through it. my one complaint, as you addressed, is that they didn't to the amount of violence justice. it seems like they chickened out about showing the massacre that the country went through and i suspect that may have been because they wanted to keep their rating at R.

but i've read plenty about the cartel wars and seen enough to say that they didn't even scratch the surface of the amount of violence thay country went through, and honestly continues to go through.

it's a shame that we don't get to the see the Sinaloa/Arrelano clash and the eventual introduction of Los Zetas. there is still so much more of this story to tell and it drives me crazy we won't get to see it

Episodes 3 and 4 were fantastic and always loved how when you think no way this happened, they show the actual news reports from the exact event.

Just finished - really enjoyed it but wanted to see more of El Chapo rising to power.

Enjoyed it but I will be disappointed if we don't get a "Chapo" season...

Just watch El Chapo on Netflix. IMO its better than Narcos Mexico.

Maybe that's the reason they are ending it here… I'll check it out. Thanks.

His story has been told and written about way too much. The power grab that leads to Levya-Beltran and the Zetas heading into the 00s would be an interesting continuation if the series keeps going.

This was the weakest of all the Narcos, but still solid. My only real complaint was the narration. Just couldn't get into her story telling.

Just finished episode 3 and think this show is as good as ever. I love it.

The shootout in the club at the end of 3 is badass

I don't like hearing women talk either... I kid I kid!!!

There is something to it for me though. I'd rather have a male voice narrate.

It's probably been said here before, but if you're still in need of a Mexican Cartel fix after watching Narcos, the Power of the Dog and the Cartel by Don Winslow are fantastic books. The main antagonist is loosely based off of Benjamin Arellano Felix and even though it's fiction, a lot of the events in the book happened in real life. Similar to the show.

Finish it. Narcos is always awesome.

Some seasons are just more awesome than others. Narcos has never disappointed.

I'm not trying to do a spoiler, but I like how the season ended. Essentially the end of Season 3 sets the stage for the modern day (last 20 years) drug trade/war in Mexico.

But yeah hope for a season 4 or something more.

You have to start with the original Narcos which focuses on the Central America aspect. 3 awesome seasons of that. Then Nacros Mexico and with a good amount of crossover.

I liked all seasons!

So Victor. Was they missing girl he was upset about his daughter? Maybe thought is was his daughter due to DNA testing?

Don't think so.

I read it as him wrestling with morality. Taking notice of the irony of his life with what he does for extra pay and how the world is generally messed up.

Any personal connection there was simply the fact that the girl's Mom was his neighbor and she asked him to investigate.

Story line not as compelling and hotness level of Latin actresses much lower than previous seasons.

Is it similar to any other show? Other than illegals, what all else does it center around?

for some reason i have a very strong curiosity regarding the Cartels and the issues on the border. it's all just so surreal how, living in a somewhat civilized world, the amount of midevil violence can exist, particularly in the country immediately south of the most powerful and civilized country on the planet. it honestly mind boggling if you really consider it. i have a similar curiosity about North Korea. it's just crazy to me that in these times how something like it exists.

Narcos mexico kind of feeds that curiosity and attempts to shed some light on how such a situation exists and how it came to be. it's not perfect but it's generally pretty factually accurate. if you have no interest in the cartels and the border wars then you may not like it but there are plenty of people who seem to be interested in the stories.

Buddy… it's pretty self explanatory. It's a show about drugs and cartels. That's what the draw is.

Can someone remind me what became of the hot latina (think we all know the one) from previous Mexico seasons? Don't recall her getting killed.

The hot Latina ended up dating one of the guys involved with the drug cartel.
