My only complaint about the ending is a 16 year old bailing and they presumably just fly away. I would be off that plane and calling the cops as a parent (edit clarification)
They were probably in first class, he was in coach. They thought they missed him and didn't realize he wasn't on the plane until they landed. He has no phone. They don't know where he is.

I was going to guess that it's Armond in the casket. And say that Shane ultimately blames Armond for Rachel leaving him, as the botched room is what initially caused the rift between Shane and Rachel, they would have been perfectly happy on their honeymoon otherwise, etc, etc. Armond is high as a kite, there's an altercation, and Armond dies, but it's inadvertent, and Shane ultimately isn't held responsible. So when Shane is staring out the terminal window in the flash forward, he's staring at his nemesis in the casket, wondering how it came to this. But then I quickly realized that if Armond lives in Hawaii, his body wouldn't be on a plane, so I'm back to having absolutely no clue.

anyone else surprised the lady having the baby in episode 1 went away?

It was interesting at the time I am just a little surprised it had no ramifications on the rest of the plot. kind of random

The baby episode helped set Armond off on his bender

The travelers said they were told someone was killed.

So, who killed whom?

My guess is that it is related to the bracelets. How is it related? Beats me.

It's all related...

Is there any chance Rachel *doesn't* leave Shane? Like, it was a huge misdirect and when we cut back to Shane staring out the terminal window, Rachel walks up, joins him, having just been in the bathroom or something? And maybe they reconciled or Shane finally woke up and did something right/noble before the end of the trip? I don't want it to play out that way, and I don't think it will, but just throwing that out there...

Well, you watched some people struggle with deep inner conflict. But you also watched a man squeeze dookie out of his butt

Along with the scene where he was doing whatever he was doing to that kid's butt, talk of grand dad being a power bottom etc. butts played an important role here.
And yet it was still awesome.

I'm always impressed with an actor's ability to cry on cue. But taking a deuce? Had to be CGI, right? Had to be.

One question. Why was Belinda so upset? She was likeable for the most part but then it became clear she was somewhat using Coolidge in order to try and get her to invest in her new business. I get that Coolidge decided not to do that, but assuming those were -00 dollar bills in the envelope, she left Belinda around 40-50k at the end. That should be enough to get Belinda started on her new business if she wanted to go out on her own.

I was a little confused by Belinda's reaction.

Loved the show.

A TRUE frugal mom would get the free trial and then cancel (but yes it's worth it, even if you don't do that).

I got HBOmax for free with my AT&T cell service... just switch to AT&T.

Yeah, I think they should have made the Tanya envelope of cash significantly smaller, to where it could be seen as a really nice tip. Instead, it was so fat that it did look like it could be some solid seed $$$. Who slides a fat stack like that into a drawer LOL? Count that thing, and it may be enough to get started

The line that I had to pause because I was laughing so hard was Steve Zahn explaining white privilege: "So we shouldn't kill people, take their land, and make them dance, obviously."

I think her heart was broken that she felt someone actually saw success in her and had the means to support her and just like a snap of the fingers, that person abandoned her. Yes, she gave her money, but money doesn't emotionally support you when you're doing something as crazy as believing in yourself and starting a new business. Her company idea was HOLISTIC health care. That's feelings health care, bro.

Yeah I was a little perturbed by Belinda's reaction too, since it seemed like a lot of money.
But I think she felt like she was just kind of jerked around by a rich woman who she had to suck up to, and in the end she wasn't her friend, she just threw some money at her to ease her conscience. It was kind of insulting.

Well, the whole business idea was a suckup for cash, so getting cash without having a crazy lasy business partner isnt much of an insult at that point.

Frankly the best thing about the show was its extremely subtle stabs at sjw and entitlement mentality.

Even without the envelope of cash her reaction was kind of excessive. It was clear early on, even to Belinda, that the deal was shaky at best. No doubt it would have been a windfall but she's no worse off than when she started. Yes, there was the extra time spent but that time was spent using each other, no?

After spending a week on the Tanya coaster, would you be that sad about just getting an extremely fat stack of cash vs having to be tied to her and rely on her permanently? Buck up Belinda! It will be okay!

Agree, but Belinda was trying to jerk the rich lady around. She was pretending to be her friend in hopes of getting money to start the business. In the end, she got money to start the business. So her reaction seemed over the top. It's not like she really wanted Coolidge as a friend or business partner.

Also Agree that it would've been better if it was just a couple thousand dollar tip or something.

Disagree. She was being nice to her despite Coolidge being clearly unhinged. She invested emotionally in her life because it was obvious Coolidge was interested in her.

I think your opinion is more on the cynical side. Even her son (on the phone) had to tell her to take advantage of the white woman offering money - she never saw it that way until he said it. And I don't get the impression she was going to use her like her son suggested.

regardless of all that..who cares?

It doesnt take much to realize they only knew each other a WEEK...you act like she carried Coolidges baggage around for years.

it was a week and Coolidge simply suggested the idea. Never said she was going to do it. Definitely didnt break a contract.

she gave her like 50k. anything but happy as hell is ungrateful and selfish.

gotta be a dummy anyways to put all your hopes and dreams in a comment from a drunk lady who is in the 99 percentile of emotionally unstable.

I honestly wonder if they did that with Belinda so that no one appeared the good guy at the end. Even the pregnant lady lied about it to keep her job.

Zahn cheated on his wife and Quinn abandoned his family to go canoeing. They are all flawed. Belinda really wasn't. Just saying maybe they needed to give her a flaw.

Quinn abandoned his family? I think in reality Quinn realized his family had abandoned him long ago, and is staying with his new one.
